We’ve Lost Some Self-Esteem. Now It’s Focus on Juventus

At the end of Torino-Fiorentina, Fiorentina coach Raffaele Palladino spoke at a press conference to comment on the match.
Below is an excerpt from the words of the Campania coach following the victory in Torino–Fiorentina.
Torino-Fiorentina, Palladino’s Comments
In response to a specific question, the coach expressed his views on the standings: “It has an effect, and I’m glad the players are looking at it even though I tell them not to. We need to focus on one game at a time and improve. Today we won, but it wasn’t the type of performance I prefer.
In the second half, we stopped playing a bit, and I say this after a victory. However, I liked the team spirit. We need to maintain this enthusiasm and think immediately about the Conference.”
Regarding the decisive players, the coach admitted: “Having players of great caliber makes a difference; these matches are won with cleverness. Special players know how to make decisive plays. Coaches greatly appreciate having such athletes, but today I liked the whole team, and there was also the ability to endure. Now we need to recover our energy for Europe.”
On the satisfaction related to Comuzzo and Adli’s condition, the coach added: “It’s not about a single player but about the attitude of the entire team, both the starters and those who come on during the match. We still have several players out, and I need everyone; the defensive phase is the responsibility of the whole team. Adli had a thigh discomfort after Marassi, we kept him resting, but today he came on well.”
Regarding the balance after recent results, he commented: “The nuances show how competitive the group is. I wanted to give a day off, but the group chose to train, demonstrating how focused and eager they are to improve. It’s a great satisfaction. I also thank the fans: there were many of them, and the victory is for them.”
The coach then analyzed the second half of today’s match: “It’s not that I didn’t like my team, but you can’t just defend. We played a bit too passively, but considering all the matches played, it can be understood. I’m not worried; Toro also deserves credit, as they could have troubled us, but we were good to win.”
Regarding the team’s ability to stay high in the standings, he stated: “For me, yes; they demonstrate this every day with their mentality and preparation. I could almost stop coaching, as they are so good at finding solutions. However, we haven’t achieved anything yet. It’s a nice moment, and I didn’t expect this enthusiasm either. A sort of magic has been created in the locker room, but we cannot let our guard down. Matches are tough; we must remain humble and face one game at a time, trying to surprise everyone. No one would have imagined this situation.”
The coach then spoke about Ranieri: “He always excels in what he does; he must always stay active. I didn’t give him the armband for these qualities, but without Quarta and Biraghi, the armband went to him.”
About Bove, he emphasized his versatility: “He can play anywhere; he’s extraordinary and can also act as a second striker. Depending on the match, I decide his position. He doesn’t have a fixed role; he can play in a two, a three, as a playmaker, or as a winger who cuts inside. Intelligent players don’t have just one role, and he can cover different positions.”

“Coach Pisacane’s red and blue team took to the field this afternoon at the CRAI Sport Center for the resumption of training: thus began the week that will lead Cagliari to the match of the 8th round of the Serie A league against Hellas Verona, scheduled for Sunday, October 26.”
“The first part of the session was dedicated to ball possession exercises, followed by small-sided games. To finish, an aerobic workout. Yerry Mina, who must recover from a strain in the muscles of his left thigh, worked individually, along with Alessandro Di Pardo, Marko Rog, Nicola Pintus, and Boris Radunovic.”
“Tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd, a new morning training session is scheduled.”

Juventus, a year ago was destined to leave Turin, today is one of Tudor’s certainties. The choice of the management to renew him has become a sign of continuity and trust.
Just a year ago Daniele Rugani seemed to be saying goodbye to Juventus. Like it happened to Huijsen, Soulé and partly to Federico Chiesa, for him too the club had drawn a clear line: those who did not fit into Thiago Motta’s technical plans were invited to find a new placement. But the fate of the Tuscan defender took a different turn.
Despite having a contract expiring eight months from the end of the season, the Juventus management decided to exercise the unilateral renewal clause for another year, a clear sign of trust. Despite everything, Rugani has proven to be a reliable, serious, and professional player, earning a leading role in a team still in search of balance.
Juventus, Tudor’s few certainties
In a complicated moment for the defense and more generally for Igor Tudor’s Juventus, number 24 represents a technical and moral certainty, a symbol of belonging and continuity. The club, which a year ago seemed ready to turn the page, has instead decided to focus on a player who knows the environment, accepts hierarchies, and knows how to be ready when needed.
In short, after almost ten years in black and white, Rugani has returned to being more than just a backup!
