Rapuano will be assisted, as assistants, by Dario Cecconi and Andrea Zingarelli, representing the A.I.A. of Empoli and the A.I.A. of Siena. The fourth official assignment has been given to referee Luca Massimi from the Termoli section. For the official video functions, referee Vmo Daniele Paterna from the Teramo section, along with referee Matteo Gariglio from the Pinerolo section, have been designated.

New developments on the construction site of the Franchi stadium after the Municipality announced that further delays are expected and the works will not be completed in time for the club’s centenary.

ACF Fiorentina, in response to today’s note from the Municipality of Florence regarding the Franchi Stadium, clarifies that the Municipality provided information in recent days regarding the progress of the works and the delays expected by the end of 2026.

The Club can only express dissatisfaction and surprise given the willingness it has always shown, such as leaving the stadium free from the end of May to mid-September of this year.

Further and possible activities for the second part of the works have also been outlined, which could still involve several months away from the Franchi. Scenarios that can only generate concern and disappointment. In light of the latest information provided, as already communicated to the Municipality, the conditions for any involvement of Fiorentina in the project will have to be re-evaluated.

There is still immense regret for not having been able to complete the New Franchi with the previous interlocutors, which President Commisso wanted to finance in 2019 but then had to realize that it was never allowed.

The Franchi Stadium, already a construction site since February 2024, will remain so with all the economic and sporting difficulties that arise, certainly throughout the 2026/27 season, the year of the centenary.
