Empoli, D’Aversa’s words
What kind of game do you expect and what does Lecce expect tomorrow?
“Lecce has won many direct clashes at home, it’s an environment that pushes a lot. This game is important, we have to be good at dampening the enthusiasm and we have to do it by playing our best physically and mentally.”
This match is a former player’s game in a city where you were a protagonist. How do you feel about returning?
“After what happened, I stayed to live in Lecce, partly because the children were going to school and partly because we had many friends. It will be nice to see many people again, even within the club. I can’t forget the emotions I experienced in that stadium, like when we overturned against Lazio and Milan. That said, I am the coach of Empoli and it’s right that we go there thinking that it’s an important challenge.”
How do you see Haas?
“I have to say that from the first day, many players have changed the hierarchy. I like to get to know a player and coach him, and then draw my conclusions. He’s always one who goes at two hundred miles per hour and lifts morale, what he’s achieving is not given. What he’s doing, he’s doing it because he deserves it and for what he gives.”
Are these next matches a turning point?
“We have to think about our situation but stay focused on this one. We have to recover energy, especially from a mental point of view. Now we just have to focus on tomorrow’s match, but nothing will be defined tomorrow. We are still far from the goal.”
Lecce had two extra days of rest. What do you think about that?
“Today when the fixtures are released, it’s not possible to please everyone. We weren’t lucky but we have to focus on what we can influence. Certainly, having two fewer days puts you in a position to prepare for the match more quickly.”
How satisfied are you with the defensive phase?
“When the collective works, the individual also stands out. This aspect is very important, not only for us who have to avoid relegation. Often the best defenses are the ones that win, usually the goal difference reflects the position in the standings. All the players take care of this aspect, what we need to improve is to put the same determination in the defensive phase as in the finishing phase. Sometimes there’s the goalkeeper, sometimes there are inches, but for me luck doesn’t exist. We just have to improve this aspect. We need to improve a lot on the number of goals scored, but I’m not just talking about the forwards. I would like the players to be more determined in front of goal, you have to be more determined when the opportunity arises.”
What kind of attitude does Lecce have?
“Lecce has changed their style of play and attitude, even though they may have a different attitude at home compared to away. They defend in a 4-5-1 formation, they are compact, we have to think about their strengths and try to highlight those weaknesses they will show us. They have players with stamina, we have to be clear-headed, technically sound, and good at winning duels”.

Will Franco Israel be guarding the goal in Torino-Genoa?
Doubt in Torino. Franco Israel’s conditions could make him miss the match against Genoa. The match will take place at 12:30.
The goalkeeper of Torino is in serious doubt for the match against Genoa; the trauma to his right rib, suffered in the match against Napoli, does not seem to have fully healed.
During the match against Napoli, the goalkeeper received a nasty blow which was then evaluated by the medical staff of the granata. The result: the goalkeeper was unable to complete his normal weekly preparation and, for this reason, does not seem to be included in the lineup of twelve against the Grifoni.
Today, however, we await the official medical report on the condition of the twenty-five-year-old Uruguayan.
If the results are not positive for Franco Israel, then it will be the turn of his substitute Paleari.
Torino, currently in 15th place in the Serie A standings, is waiting for the official results of the goalkeeper Israel’s physical condition.

What happened to the Torino goalkeeper and what to expect in the coming hours
The player received a blow during the match against Napoli (in which the granata won 1-0 against the Neapolitan team). A joy broken by the injury that appeared, from the very beginning, quite serious.
To worsen the mood of the Turin club, the player’s absence in the weekly training session (to prepare for the match against the Ligurians) and, therefore, rumors about his health status have increased.
This absence itself would suggest, regardless of the verdict, that the goalkeeper will be absent on the field tomorrow, Sunday, October 26, but what is most breath-taking is the medical report.
Genoa, the team that is bottom of the Serie A standings, could take advantage of this forced stop to try and secure three much-needed points. At this point in the season, in fact, the Ligurians must try to drastically change their fate, otherwise a future relegation seems more than likely.
The team of Marco Baroni must instead keep their eyes on the horizon and not lose concentration in order to continue to stay in the middle of the table and then, who knows, even try to climb up the ranks.

Milan, Modric’s words
MILAN-PISA 2-2
“We expected this match, they came to defend and make our lives difficult. It’s our fault if we didn’t win: we didn’t do enough to win the game. We lost two important points today. These home games, with all due respect to Pisa, you have to win them.”
TIGHT MARKING?
“It’s fair, I have to adapt. We need to play better overall: we did some good things, created many chances but didn’t score. But I have to adapt for the rest.”
APPROACH
“We should have killed the game in the first half. We played well, but only scored one goal. We started the second half sluggishly, then there was the unfortunate penalty and goal. But that’s football, that’s why it’s beautiful: even if you’re stronger and deserve to win, anything can happen. We are sad and angry for losing two valuable points.”

We made mistakes, we need to reflect. However, Pisa played their game

AC Milan waste a great opportunity to consolidate their lead: from 1-0 to 1-2, they need the final minutes to avoid a sensational defeat. The risk of losing the top spot for Milan is now concrete.
It was supposed to be a quiet evening for the Rossoneri, an opportunity to strengthen their first place in the standings and face the midweek round with serenity. Instead, against a brave Pisa, the Rossoneri complicate their lives and have to thank Athekame, the author of the 2-2 in injury time, for avoiding an embarrassing loss.
AC Milan-Pisa 2-2: match analysis
The match started off on the right foot thanks to Leao’s goal after just seven minutes. But Allegri’s team, instead of closing the game, relaxed, showing presumption and lacking ruthlessness in front of goal. In the first half, Milan controlled but did not score, and Pisa stayed in the game.

In the second half, Gilardino played his trump card: Cuadrado’s entry changed everything. The Colombian won and scored the penalty for 1-1, his eighth goal in career against the Rossoneri, then inspired the counterattack that led Nzola to the sensational 2-1. Milan, confused and lacking clarity, tried to react, with Leao hitting the crossbar, Nkunku wasting a possible lead.
Only in injury time did the equalizer come, signed by Athekame, avoiding a heavy defeat but not erasing the bitterness. Perhaps the Rossoneri paid for their lack of respect for the opponent, just as Allegri had warned before the start of the match.
A necessary reality check, because on Tuesday in Bergamo Milan risks not showing up as the league leaders.
