Rome, Claudio Ranieri returns to lead the Giallorossi. The Roman coach is ready to lift a discouraged team currently in 12th place in the standings, possibly relaunching some players.
Claudio Ranieri has officially returned to lead Roma, for the third time in his long career, with the difficult task of lifting a team that is going through one of the most complicated times in recent years. Roma, currently 12th in the standings with only 13 points collected in the first 12 matches, is unexpectedly caught in the lower zones of Serie A and seems to have lost confidence and direction. Ranieri’s mission will be to revitalize the most representative players of the club, especially young talents like Matias Soulé, the Argentine attacking midfielder purchased in the summer from Juventus for around 30 million euros, who is still far from meeting expectations.

Rome, Ranieri’s praise for Soulé
Ranieri knows Soulé well, having faced him last season in a match where the young Argentine scored from a free kick in Frosinone’s 3-1 win against his Cagliari. On that occasion, the Roman coach spoke of him with enthusiasm, praising his talent and vision of the game.
His words in the post-match were as follows:
“When you have champions like Soulé, who kicks like Maradona or Zico, you just have to applaud. This is the beauty for those who come to the stadium and pay for the ticket. When you concede a play like that, you applaud, besides it was very difficult because it was very close to the penalty area, clearing the wall is complicated. Those who have these champions keep them or look for them. We had marked him well, trying not to let him get the ball or closing him down. But when the ball is still, you can’t do anything. He was good in the first leg and he was good today as well”.
Now, leading the Giallorossi, Ranieri could become the key to Soulé’s redemption, who has so far remained in the shadow of Paulo Dybala and unable to make a consistent impact. In the first 12 matches played between the League and the Europa League, the former Frosinone player has scored only one goal. In a Rome team that urgently needs fresh resources and motivation, the coach can restore confidence in the Argentine, maximizing his potential.
Below is the video of the Frosinone-Cagliari match mentioned in the article.

Milan, good news from Nkunku: the Frenchman returns to the group

The Fiorentina has just released a statement regarding the situation at the Franchi stadium. Following the announcement from the Municipality of Florence, the club has issued a response.
New developments on the construction site at the Franchi stadium after the Municipality announced further delays and that the works will not be completed in time for the club’s centenary.
Fiorentina, Franchi Stadium: The Club’s Statement
ACF Fiorentina, in response to today’s statement from the Municipality of Florence regarding the Franchi Stadium, clarifies that the Municipality has provided information in recent days regarding the progress of the works and the delays that are already expected by the end of 2026.
The Club can only express discontent and surprise considering the cooperation always shown, such as leaving the stadium free from the end of May to mid-September this year.
Further possible activities for the second part of the works have also been outlined, which at the moment could still involve several months away from the Franchi. Scenarios that can only generate concern and disappointment. In light of the latest information provided, as already communicated to the Municipality, the conditions for any involvement of Fiorentina in the project will need to be re-evaluated.
There is still great regret for not having been able to complete the New Franchi with previous interlocutors, which in 2019, President Commisso wanted to realize at his own expense, only to realize that this was never allowed.
The Franchi Stadium, already a construction site since February 2024, will remain so with all the economic and sporting difficulties that follow, certainly throughout the 2026/27 season, the year of the centenary.
