Lecce-Juventus, match valid for the 14th round of the Serie A 2024/2025 championship, will take place on Sunday, December 1st at 20:45 at the Via del Mare Stadium.

The Lecce coached by Giampaolo currently occupies the 15th place in the standings. The team comes into this match after achieving two consecutive positive results, a draw against Empoli and an away win against Venice. The team from Puglia is in urgent need of points to move away from the lower zones of the table. A victory would allow the Giallorossi to reach 15 points, momentarily catching up with teams like Torino.

The Juventus, dealing with a squad further decimated by the injury of Savona, will arrive in Lecce with the obligatory goal of winning to stay in the wake of the top teams in the standings. However, coach Motta will once again have to do without Dusan Vlahovic, forced to field Weah as the central striker. The Juventus lineup should resemble that seen in the Champions League, unless last-minute recoveries of players like Vlahovic or McKennie, scenarios still highly unlikely. It is not to be excluded, however, that Motta decides to give a break to Kenan Yildiz, fielding Mbangula in his place on the left flank.

For the challenge against the Bianconeri, Giampaolo is not expected to make many changes and will take the field with the 4-3-3 formation. The goal will be guarded by Falcone, and in front of him will act the backline of 4 composed of Guilbert, Baschirotto, Gaspar, and Gallo. The midfield trio will see Coulibaly, Ramadani, and Rafia as starters. Finally, the attacking trio will be composed of Dorgu, Krstovic, and Pierotti.

The Juventus coached by Motta will take the field with the classic 4-2-3-1 formation. In goal, there will be the usual Di Gregorio, while the 4-man defense will see as the only change the presence of Danilo from the start in place of Savona, absent due to injury. The rest of the defense will have the usual Kalulu and Gatti in the center, and Cambiaso as the left-back. In midfield, there will be Thuram and Locatelli, and ahead of them the attacking trio composed of Koopmeiners as a playmaker and Yildiz and Conceicao on the wings. The lone striker will be Timothy Weah, called upon to cover once again the role of the injured Dusan Vlahovic.

The Fiorentina has just released a statement regarding the situation at the Franchi stadium. Following the announcement from the Municipality of Florence, the club has issued a response.

New developments on the construction site at the Franchi stadium after the Municipality announced further delays and that the works will not be completed in time for the club’s centenary.

Fiorentina, Franchi Stadium: The Club’s Statement

ACF Fiorentina, in response to today’s statement from the Municipality of Florence regarding the Franchi Stadium, clarifies that the Municipality has provided information in recent days regarding the progress of the works and the delays that are already expected by the end of 2026.

The Club can only express discontent and surprise considering the cooperation always shown, such as leaving the stadium free from the end of May to mid-September this year.

Further possible activities for the second part of the works have also been outlined, which at the moment could still involve several months away from the Franchi. Scenarios that can only generate concern and disappointment. In light of the latest information provided, as already communicated to the Municipality, the conditions for any involvement of Fiorentina in the project will need to be re-evaluated.

There is still great regret for not having been able to complete the New Franchi with previous interlocutors, which in 2019, President Commisso wanted to realize at his own expense, only to realize that this was never allowed.

The Franchi Stadium, already a construction site since February 2024, will remain so with all the economic and sporting difficulties that follow, certainly throughout the 2026/27 season, the year of the centenary.
