Roma-Lecce, relegation battle between the Giallorossi [LIVE]

Published

on

Tonight at the Olimpico, the Roma-Lecce match takes place. On the field are two teams that share the colors and the vital need for 3 points.

Just a step away from relegation zone: this is the status of the teams that will play the Roma-Lecce match tonight at the Olimpico in Rome.

After a warm welcome from a small group of fans to the Roma bus, a difficult challenge is looming.

The precedents are encouraging but risky for the home team: the previous match at the Olimpico was a 2-1 lightning-fast game with a final touch of the two Giallorossi goals, by Azmoun and Lukaku, respectively at 90’+1 and 90’+4.

The Salentini took the lead in the second half thanks to the goal by Almqvist.

What will happen today, with Dobvyk not called up and out of action and Dybala taking his place, is difficult to predict.

So, we start to watch, with bated breath, the match that will determine which of the two teams, currently tied on points, will take a little step closer to the middle of the table.

Roma-Lecce, the first half

Soon the highlights of the first half of the match.

1′ The first alert comes from Koné, who gains dangerous ball possession but then slips almost committing a foul and returns the ball to Lecce.

2′ Again Koné, near the goal, ends up on the ground. It’s a foul and is repelled by Falcone.

5′ Everyone in Lecce’s half attacking the Salentini with headers.

5′ BIG CHANCE FOR ROMA, with a header by Dybala just missing the goal.

10′ Another chance for Roma, again on a cross from Dybala, which ends up too high and diagonal.

No good news for Cagliari of Pisacane, who is coming off a home defeat against Bologna: injury for a defender.

The Sardinians are preparing for the next league challenge against Hellas Verona. However, the coach must deal with physical problems affecting a key player for him: Yerry Mina. The Colombian suffered an injury in the match against Bologna in the last round and is now working separately to recover. His condition will be evaluated ahead of the next league match.

“Coach Pisacane’s red and blue team took to the field this afternoon at the CRAI Sport Center for the resumption of training: thus began the week that will lead Cagliari to the match of the 8th round of the Serie A championship against Hellas Verona, scheduled for Sunday, October 26.

The first part of the session was dedicated to ball possession exercises, followed by a series of small-sided games. To finish, an aerobic workout. Yerry Mina, who needs to recover from a strain in the left thigh flexors, worked individually, along with Alessandro Di Pardo, Marko Rog, Nicola Pintus, and Boris Radunovic.

Tomorrow, Wednesday 22, a new training session is scheduled for the morning.”
