Lione-Eintracht Frankfurt, probable line-ups and where to watch it
Views: 30
Lyon-Eintracht Frankfurt, match valid for the sixth day of the Europa League, pits Les Gones (home team) against the Germans.
Lyon and Eintracht Frankfurt are among the favorites to win the competition. The Germans are third in the standings with 13 points, the same as Lazio and Athletic Bilbao but with a worse goal difference, while the French are seventh with 10 points. On par with four other teams, but with a better goal difference.
Lyon’s Lineup
Pierre Sage had to choose between rotating on Saturday with Angers or with Eintracht, in view of the Sunday match in Paris with PSG. The choice fell on Europe, as in Ligue 1 the French fielded the best possible lineup. Therefore, a mini-revolution is expected, despite the importance of the match, but it should not concern the goal: where Lucas Perri is still ahead of Rémy Descamps.
On the right, both Clinton Mata and Maitland-Niles could rest. Both played in the league and it depends on how much the French coach wants to overhaul his lineup. Ready then Kumbedi on that side, with Niakhaté alongside Caleta-Car or Omari. On the left, an open competition between Tagliafico (who played in the league) and Abner: the latter is favored. In midfield, the former Venezia Tessman (often used in the Europa League) and Caqueret could find space, although the latter is somewhat out of the hierarchy.
With them, it is possible to confirm one of Tolisso, Matic, and Veretout, or a playmaker when switching to a 4-2-3-1 formation. The main candidate is Cherki, who is in excellent form. In the attacking trio, Zaha could find space, although he has only started one game this season: he is in competition with Fofana. On the right, Nuamah should play, as Benrahma is injured. The center-forward should be Mikautadze, but keep an eye on Gift Orban: he can play on the left or as a second striker.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Lineup
In goal, captain Trapp is expected to be confirmed, while on the right, regular starter Nnamdi Collins could return: rested in the league. The alternative is former Roma Kristensen. Another former Serie A player (Theate) usually plays on the left, but against Augsburg, he was brought back to the middle. In that case, Tuta played in midfield. It remains to be seen if he will be fielded in the center of the defensive ranks or in the two in front of the defense.
Behind, Koch will certainly be there, with either Theate or Tuta by his side. The Belgian, as mentioned, can also play as a left-back, but if he is moved to the middle, the alternative is Nkounkou. The Brazilian was moved to midfield to cover for the absence of Larsson, who will be out until the end of December with a muscle injury. In his place, as mentioned, either the adapted Tuta or Skhiri alongside Dahoud.
Like Hojlund (brother of former Atalanta Rasmus) or Bahoya. The latter started against Midtjylland, while the Dane has no starts in the first team. Unlike another young player, Uzun, who scored from the bench against Augsburg: he is often used from the start. He competes for a spot with Chaibi, Knauff, and Gotze on the wings, while up front, Marmoush-Ekitike are ready.
Lyon-Eintracht Frankfurt, probable lineups
Lyon (3-5-2): Perri; Niakhaté, Omari, Clinton Mata; Abner, Tessman, Veretout, Caqueret, Kumbedi; Orban, Mikautadze.
Eintracht Frankfurt (4-4-2): Trapp; Theate, Tuta, Koch, Collins; Uzun, Dahoud, Skhiri, Gotze; Marmoush, Ekitike.

Roma, a team with a dual identity: struggles in Europe
Views: 6
AS Roma started their journey in the Europa League rather negatively, with 2 defeats in the first 3 games. However, their performance in the league is quite different.
The home defeat against Viktoria Plzen left a bitter taste, along with some perplexity. Gasperini’s team has struggled to get going in the Europa League and has lost both home games so far. There have been too many defensive mistakes, which once again have cost the Giallorossi dearly.
Against Lille, it was Tsimikas who made a naive error that led to the French goal, while in yesterday’s game, it was young Ziolkowski who made the mistake and was substituted by Gasperini after just half an hour. While the defense seems to be the strong point of this team in the league, they are making too many mistakes and lack precision in the Europa League.
Roma, a sterile attack

Another rather evident problem, highlighted by the coach in the post-match interview, is the sterility of the attack. Apart from the Argentine Soulé, who has scored 3 goals in the league, the rest of the attack is struggling to perform.
Dovbyk and Ferguson seem out of place: two physically heavy players, rather clumsy with the ball at their feet, who are struggling to find the back of the net. The Ukrainian was booed off the Olimpico pitch yesterday, and every touch of the ball by the Irishman was met with loud grumbling from the entire stadium.
Dybala scored his first goal of the season from a penalty, but more is expected from him. Finally, Bailey is proving to be in form and able to make an impact, having come on in the last two games and igniting the Olimpico with his plays.
Gasperini must find a solution and hope to mentally recover his two strikers, who currently seem demoralized and disconnected from the team.
