Fiorentina decides on player sales: potential savings

January could be a month of big changes for Fiorentina. Several players seem ready to leave the Viola.
Fiorentina is gearing up for a winter transfer window full of changes. While on one hand, they are working to strengthen the squad with new signings, on the other hand, the Viola club is planning a series of departures to reduce the wage bill and provide more opportunities for players looking for continuity.
Fiorentina, Parisi seeking space
Fabiano Parisi is among the players who could leave Fiorentina in this transfer window. The young full-back, despite getting some playing time in recent weeks, has expressed a desire to play more regularly. Loan options with buyout clauses may also be considered for him, with some Italian teams already showing interest.
Torino’s interest in Kouame
Christian Kouame is not among the main surplus players, but his salary of €1.8 million per season and the interest from several clubs, especially Torino, make him a potential departure. Torino’s sporting director, Davide Vagnati, is monitoring the situation, although not considering him an absolute priority. If Fiorentina were to receive a suitable offer, the Ivorian forward could move in January.
Uncertain future for Ikoné
Jonathan Ikoné is another player on the fence. After three seasons at Fiorentina, the Frenchman has not been able to fully express the potential seen in France. In the summer, he turned down lucrative offers from Arab clubs to stay in Serie A, but his salary of €1.6 million per season is a burden for the club. Fiorentina is ready to let him go, provided a satisfactory offer comes in.
Fiorentina, Biraghi’s certain departure
Among the confirmed departures is Cristiano Biraghi, Viola’s captain now only on paper. With a salary of €1.7 million, the full-back is set to move on. The club is already evaluating options to replace him, while the player seeks a new challenge to revitalize his career and find regularity.
Pongracic and the burden of €16 million
Finally, there is Marin Pongracic, purchased in the summer from Lecce for a hefty €16 million. His only start in Serie A was against Parma, marred by a red card.
Since then, Palladino has often preferred less experienced alternatives. While there are no immediate evaluations on him, his salary exceeding €2 million and his underwhelming performance could prompt Fiorentina to deeply consider offers.
Of course, it is very unlikely that all these departures will happen in this transfer window, as January is a very complicated month for transfers and finding suitable alternatives to replace all these players would be quite challenging. However, the avenues of the transfer market are endless, and each day may bring different surprises.

Lazio, good news: Rovella shortens recovery time

Good news for the unlucky Lazio of Maurizio Sarri: Nicolò Rovella is recovering optimally from pubalgia – early return anticipated?
The Lazio coach can finally smile. One of his most important players, Rovella, is showing great improvements. The midfielder is recovering from pubalgia by choosing to undergo conservative therapy rather than surgery, which would have kept him out for a longer period. So far, his choice seems to be paying off: his physical condition is significantly improving.

When will Rovella return to Lazio?
If things continue in this way, Nicolò Rovella could return to the field even before the November break. Initially, his reintroduction was scheduled for the middle of next month, but given the improvement in the situation, an early recovery is now likely. Of course, the midfielder will not be available for the match against Juventus in the next Serie A round, but he will be evaluated for the subsequent matches.

“Coach Pisacane’s red and blue team took to the field this afternoon at the CRAI Sport Center for the resumption of training: thus began the week that will lead Cagliari to the match of the 8th round of the Serie A championship against Hellas Verona, scheduled for Sunday, October 26.
The first part of the session was dedicated to ball possession exercises, followed by a series of small-sided games. To finish, an aerobic workout. Yerry Mina, who needs to recover from a strain in the left thigh flexors, worked individually, along with Alessandro Di Pardo, Marko Rog, Nicola Pintus, and Boris Radunovic.
Tomorrow, Wednesday 22, a new training session is scheduled for the morning.”
