Taty Castellanos scores in the latest victory in the Europa League against Real Sociedad. The Argentine is winning the hearts of fans with his goals.

The biancoceleste environment was a bit skeptical at the beginning of the season about who should be the heir to Ciro Immobile. Last season, Taty Castellanos had good opportunities to show his talent, but he did not fully express his abilities, postponing his judgment for another year.

With a coach like Marco Baroni, the Argentine is at the center of the project and is putting into practice all his technical skills as a true striker, managing to win over the hearts of Lazio fans. Against Real Sociedad, he scored his tenth goal of the season in all competitions and has earned a rating ranging from 7 to 7.5 from major newspapers.

The Immobile-Castellanos Comparison

For any player in the center-forward role for Lazio, before being compared to Ciro Immobile, they must undergo a lot of apprenticeship, given the history the former biancoceleste captain wrote for the club. With this premise, we can compare the different characteristics of the two players at a tactical level: in front of goal, Immobile was definitely more effective than Castellanos, who is, however, working and improving a lot in this regard.

The Argentine, however, is more adept at linking up play with the team, a fundamental characteristic to favor the type of football that Baroni proposes, unlike the former Italian National Team forward, who was more inclined to attack the depth before striking on goal. Supporting this argument, it can be noted that in addition to his 10 goals, Taty Castellanos has already provided 6 assists this season, demonstrating his propensity in developing the game.

Arguably, the Argentine striker may never reach the impressive statistics of Immobile with Lazio, but certainly this season he is not making fans regret the departure of the former captain and is winning over the environment with his goals and performances.

Arrivano buone notizie per Allegri dall’ultimo allenamento tenutosi a Milanello. Christopher Nkunku ha infatti recuperato dall’infortunio al piede accusato in Nazionale che lo aveva tenuto ai box in occasione della sfida contro la Fiorentina. L’attaccante francese è tornato ad allenarsi in gruppo, e sarà quindi a disposizione dei rossoneri per il match di venerdì contro il Pisa, in programma a San Siro.

The Fiorentina has just released a statement regarding the situation at the Franchi stadium. Following the announcement from the Municipality of Florence, the club has issued a response.

New developments on the construction site at the Franchi stadium after the Municipality announced further delays and that the works will not be completed in time for the club’s centenary.

Fiorentina, Franchi Stadium: The Club’s Statement

ACF Fiorentina, in response to today’s statement from the Municipality of Florence regarding the Franchi Stadium, clarifies that the Municipality has provided information in recent days regarding the progress of the works and the delays that are already expected by the end of 2026.

The Club can only express discontent and surprise considering the cooperation always shown, such as leaving the stadium free from the end of May to mid-September this year.

Further possible activities for the second part of the works have also been outlined, which at the moment could still involve several months away from the Franchi. Scenarios that can only generate concern and disappointment. In light of the latest information provided, as already communicated to the Municipality, the conditions for any involvement of Fiorentina in the project will need to be re-evaluated.

There is still great regret for not having been able to complete the New Franchi with previous interlocutors, which in 2019, President Commisso wanted to realize at his own expense, only to realize that this was never allowed.

The Franchi Stadium, already a construction site since February 2024, will remain so with all the economic and sporting difficulties that follow, certainly throughout the 2026/27 season, the year of the centenary.
