Lecce coach, Marco Giampaolo, spoke after his team’s 3-1 away victory against Parma.

Strong away win for Lecce under Giampaolo, as they defeat Parma 3-1 at the Tardini, causing trouble for both Parma and their coach. The Salentini climb to 13th place in the standings, surpassing 4 teams and pushing the ducali down to third from the bottom. Giampaolo spoke after the Emilian trip, confirming that the decision to bench Dorgu is related to the transfer market. Tonight’s match, in fact, was the last game for the Danish full-back in the yellow and red shirt, as he will be in England tomorrow to sign with Manchester United.

“I told them that you need to have courage. It’s a wonderful profession, where you cannot avoid having courage and personality. Those are the ingredients to play soccer. It was a heavy direct clash in terms of the standings and potential repercussions. The guys were calm, we weren’t even frantic. That has been our flaw until now, instead we were reflective. We took good responsibilities, we did well and I’m happy, but there is still work to be done.”

Krstovic
“He’s young, he will become very strong and he already is. He needs to complete his journey, he has everything and the team puts him in the right conditions. He scored a nice goal, Helgason gave him a wonderful ball. Beyond the quality of individual performances, Lecce played a great game as a team. We move on and keep going.”

Dorgu
“I believe Dorgu will be in Manchester tomorrow. Splendid lad, he gave us everything he had. At 20 years old, you have this opportunity, maybe you have other thoughts in mind, it didn’t seem right to let him play for either Lecce or himself. In case of need, I would have used him, I thought about it but the temptation was short-lived.”

Ramadani
“Lecce needs all its players. You don’t play with eleven, it doesn’t exist. Everyone must contribute. Tete Morente had a bereavement, he returned to Spain and missed a few days, Coulbaly’s daughter was born. Ramadani, on the other hand, was fine, I thought it was right to let him play.
