Champions League, the round of sixteen chosen to be broadcast on TV8

Simone Braglia has shared a series of considerations regarding the Champions League and Italy’s performance (at the club level).
Interviewed by the well-known radio station TMW Radio during the program Maracanà, Simone Braglia commented on the results of Juventus in international competitions and more.
While on the Juventus side, the former Ponte Chiasso goalkeeper criticized coach Thiago Motta and some of his decisions.
His attitude towards Inter, on the other hand, was different due to the team facing a series of injuries that could make their Champions League journey more challenging.
Nevertheless, Braglia continued to be strong considering the partial results of Italian teams in the Champions League. Regarding Juventus, he said, “The results speak for themselves; a coach must value the players he has, but if you change a player too much, then they don’t trust the coach.”
These were the words Simone Braglia had for Thiago Motta, who was unable to capitalize on Juventus’ potential.

Italy’s diminishing prestige in the Champions League
The eliminations of Juventus, Milan, and Atalanta have already lowered Italy’s prestige in the Champions League; now we await the matches on March 5th and 11th where Inter will face Feyenoord.
Regarding Inter Milan, Braglia said, “I hope Sommer’s injury doesn’t affect Inter and that the situation with Joseph Martinez doesn’t end up like Radu.”
He continued, saying, “During the season, the second goalkeeper should be given a chance; former Genoa player Martinez is a good goalkeeper, has personality but lacks humility.”
Prompted about Motta, Giuntoli, and Conceicao, the former goalkeeper continued, saying: “I don’t spare anyone because everyone, more or less, has responsibilities.”
A scathing verdict for the last team, “The issue with Milan is even more serious; a club that signs Joao Felix and Gimenez in January, players they could have signed in the summer, shows that they don’t understand the game. The Milan club has significant responsibilities.”

Roma, a team with a dual identity: struggles in Europe
Views: 6
AS Roma started their journey in the Europa League rather negatively, with 2 defeats in the first 3 games. However, their performance in the league is quite different.
The home defeat against Viktoria Plzen left a bitter taste, along with some perplexity. Gasperini’s team has struggled to get going in the Europa League and has lost both home games so far. There have been too many defensive mistakes, which once again have cost the Giallorossi dearly.
Against Lille, it was Tsimikas who made a naive error that led to the French goal, while in yesterday’s game, it was young Ziolkowski who made the mistake and was substituted by Gasperini after just half an hour. While the defense seems to be the strong point of this team in the league, they are making too many mistakes and lack precision in the Europa League.
Roma, a sterile attack

Another rather evident problem, highlighted by the coach in the post-match interview, is the sterility of the attack. Apart from the Argentine Soulé, who has scored 3 goals in the league, the rest of the attack is struggling to perform.
Dovbyk and Ferguson seem out of place: two physically heavy players, rather clumsy with the ball at their feet, who are struggling to find the back of the net. The Ukrainian was booed off the Olimpico pitch yesterday, and every touch of the ball by the Irishman was met with loud grumbling from the entire stadium.
Dybala scored his first goal of the season from a penalty, but more is expected from him. Finally, Bailey is proving to be in form and able to make an impact, having come on in the last two games and igniting the Olimpico with his plays.
Gasperini must find a solution and hope to mentally recover his two strikers, who currently seem demoralized and disconnected from the team.
