Juventus-Atalanta: curiosity and statistics
Juventus has remained unbeaten in 38 of the last 40 matches against Atalanta in Serie A (25W, 13D), with Atalanta’s only two wins in the period against Juventus both occurring in 2021 (between April and November).
Since Gasperini’s arrival in Bergamo (since 2016/17), the match between Juventus and Atalanta has seen the most draws in Serie A: 11 in 17 games (comprising four Juventus wins and two Atalanta victories).
The last three matches between Juventus and Atalanta in the league have ended in a draw; only once have the two teams recorded more consecutive draws in Serie A: five between March 1964 and January 1966.
Juventus’ last victory against Atalanta at the Juventus Stadium in Serie A dates back to March 14, 2018 (2-0 with goals from Higuaín and Matuidi); since then, in six games at the Allianz Stadium between the two teams in the league, there have been five draws and one win for the Bergamaschi.
Juventus has won the last five league games, the last time they achieved at least six consecutive wins in Serie A was between October 2022 and January 2023 (eight wins in that case).
Atalanta has kept a clean sheet in four consecutive Serie A matches for the first time in the 2000s; overall, only three times in its history in the top league has it recorded at least five clean sheets in a row: six between December 1996 and January 1997, five between October and November 1985, and five between January and February 1967.
Gian Piero Gasperini has coached Atalanta in 331 league games; with the next game, he will equal Nils Liedholm with Roma (332) as the 2nd coach with the most matches at the helm of a single team in Serie A history – ahead of them is only Giovanni Trapattoni with Juventus (402).
On one hand, Atalanta is the team that has scored the most goals from open play (45) in this championship, on the other hand, Juventus is the team that has conceded the fewest goals from this style of play (12).
Khéphren Thuram has set his record for active appearances in a season in the top five European leagues: seven (three goals, four assists) – he had reached six in 2021/22 and 2022/23 with Nice. In addition, only Dusan Vlahovic (10, nine goals and one assist) has been involved in more goals than the French midfielder among Juventus players in the current championship (seven, equal to Timothy Weah, who has five goals and two assists).
With the next match, Marten De Roon (260 appearances so far with Gian Piero Gasperini in the league) will equal Sebastien Frey with Cesare Prandelli (261) as the player with the most games played under the guidance of a single coach in Serie A in the era of three points for a win (since 1994/95).

“Coach Pisacane’s red and blue team took to the field this afternoon at the CRAI Sport Center for the resumption of training: thus began the week that will lead Cagliari to the match of the 8th round of the Serie A league against Hellas Verona, scheduled for Sunday, October 26.”
“The first part of the session was dedicated to ball possession exercises, followed by small-sided games. To finish, an aerobic workout. Yerry Mina, who must recover from a strain in the muscles of his left thigh, worked individually, along with Alessandro Di Pardo, Marko Rog, Nicola Pintus, and Boris Radunovic.”
“Tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd, a new morning training session is scheduled.”

Milan, Pasquale Bruno criticizes Gimenez: “Those who simulate are poor players”

Juventus, a year ago was destined to leave Turin, today is one of Tudor’s certainties. The choice of the management to renew him has become a sign of continuity and trust.
Just a year ago Daniele Rugani seemed to be saying goodbye to Juventus. Like it happened to Huijsen, Soulé and partly to Federico Chiesa, for him too the club had drawn a clear line: those who did not fit into Thiago Motta’s technical plans were invited to find a new placement. But the fate of the Tuscan defender took a different turn.
Despite having a contract expiring eight months from the end of the season, the Juventus management decided to exercise the unilateral renewal clause for another year, a clear sign of trust. Despite everything, Rugani has proven to be a reliable, serious, and professional player, earning a leading role in a team still in search of balance.
Juventus, Tudor’s few certainties
In a complicated moment for the defense and more generally for Igor Tudor’s Juventus, number 24 represents a technical and moral certainty, a symbol of belonging and continuity. The club, which a year ago seemed ready to turn the page, has instead decided to focus on a player who knows the environment, accepts hierarchies, and knows how to be ready when needed.
In short, after almost ten years in black and white, Rugani has returned to being more than just a backup!
