Genoa, investing in the summer to dream big

The sales of Gudmundsson and Retegui during the last summer transfer window, practically inevitable, helped to bolster the club’s finances, which focused on new prospects and talented players rather than experience.

The confirmations of Frendrup, Malinovskyi, Pinamonti, Aaron Martin, and Vasquez among others, could give rise to a new group with very high potential, and with some quality additions, the level could rise significantly.

It remains to be seen if Vieira will still be on the Rossoblu bench next season, despite a contract in place until 2026. The club’s plans are still being defined, but there will be news soon.

The Fiorentina coach, Raffaele Palladino, has released the list of players called up for tomorrow’s match against Empoli.
