Gasperini, for his part, has publicly opened up to the possibility of sitting on the Roma bench: “Extraordinary city, incredible fans, their interest is a reason for pride” he stated to Rai during the Bearzot Award, while specifying that “it is difficult to predict what will happen”.

The coach still has a contract with Atalanta until 2026, but a departure at the end of the season appears increasingly likely. His dream remains Juventus, and he is waiting for a call from Turin, but at the moment, concrete signals are only coming from Roma.

The dialogues will continue in the coming months, but the path is clear: the Friedkins want Gasperini, and this time they mean business.
