Juventus-Tudor: The Juventus coach spoke at a press conference ahead of tomorrow’s match against Monza at 8:45 PM. Here are his words:
These are the words spoken at the press conference by Igor Tudor, ahead of his Juventus team’s match against Monza, scheduled for tomorrow at 8:45 PM.
How is the team doing?
“The group is doing well and the team is doing well. It’s been a shorter week, but we have worked well after a serious, fair, and good match. There is more confidence, a desire to do well, and to confirm the good things done, and to work on how we can still improve.”
What keys did you touch on to prepare for the match?
“We work on everything tactically, but also mentally. Here, every game must be approached as a final. Every match and every training session must be done at 100%. Tomorrow will be a very difficult match and you always play against yourself. Everyone must give their best, then a group, mentality, victories are created, victories create more victories, but the game is always you against yourself.”
How is Thuram?
“He trained with the team, but we still need to evaluate. There are various solutions, because we have strong players. We will see tomorrow who will play.”
Will we see Vlahovic and Kolo Muani together tomorrow?
“You know what I will answer you. It could happen, I won’t answer you, it could happen both from the start and during the game. They can play together, or not.”
On the Champions League race?
“For me, nothing changes. For those who do calculations, it’s fun, it’s fascinating, but it doesn’t change anything. Tomorrow is a war, a battle is fought, the right tactics are applied, it ends and then there is the next training session. There is no other way. They are all useless calculations, they only take away from you. Focus on training, today on the match, nothing else should interest us. We are there and we focus on ourselves.”
Did you expect the team to understand your ideas so quickly? Do you regret not arriving earlier?
“I haven’t asked myself anything, I don’t look at the past. The past and the future count for little. I am happy because I have found beautiful and clean boys who are willing to work. Their response has positively surprised me. It is always them who make the difference, they are the protagonists, we are important, it’s not that the coach doesn’t matter, but the response he gets.”
About Koopmeiners?
“He can play both forward and back. I saw him more lively and positive, energetic. We touched on something from a physical point of view, but he worked like the others.”
How do you explain the difficulties of Vlahovic and Kolo Muani?
“I saw everyone well, in fact, they give me confidence. I am very confident about the contribution that Vlahovic and Kolo Muani can make.”
About Lecce and Krstovic?
“He is a strong and dangerous player. Lecce plays well and I appreciate their coach. We must respect everyone, but we are the ones who have to decide the match and with all due respect to others, we always have to focus on ourselves.”
About Conceicao?
“A player I like a lot, a strong player, who can solve problems, dribble, beat a man. I’m sorry that he doesn’t play much, I know how they feel, but with one game a week, the chances decrease. If I see you, I’ll let you play. I’m happier if I change my mind, I told him this exact thing. It applies to him and others. Everyone is important, especially those who don’t play. It’s important. With 5 substitutions, it’s a different game. They are both strong. I hope to find more balance and I would like to see them play together, it can be done, it takes time but it can be done.”
How do you comment on Capello’s words?
“You know I don’t read anything, I just read Capello’s words now. He is a coach I have had, I appreciate him a lot. I learned a lot from him, then the world of football is beautiful because everyone can have their say. I have found serious and capable people around me, focused on wanting to do better and go where Juventus must go.”
Was this team in good shape from an athletic point of view?
“Before, the team played many matches and it’s normal to train less. Then after some results, the team had little confidence. It’s all connected. I commented a few days ago, it was a connected thing, brain, head, and legs. The first thing for psychologists, about depression? Go to the gym, run. It’s all connected, it’s a healing process, touching all points of view, even this one here. The team has perceived it clearly and is growing.”
About Douglas Luiz?
“He is a quality player with a crazy shot and a crazy game vision. It’s nice to have him because he is an important resource. Clearly, he starts from a position further back than those who have been working from the start. He comes from a season with many injuries, this is true, he starts from a position, there are people who have started from the beginning and they must be respected. There are 7-8 games left and there will be space for everyone. It’s important that he is strong.”
Did you talk to Bremer?
“The strongest defender in the world? We all know, it’s not just my opinion. It’s nice to see him, run, I talk to him every day, he undergoes treatments and is always with us, he is part of the team, even if he doesn’t train he is there to give advice, to give his personality. It’s an important trait, he is a very important player. We can’t wait for him to come back.”
About Mbangula?
“Both him and Perin are still out for this week. I think they will be able to return with us next week.”

Fiorentina, Franchi Stadium: The Club’s Statement
ACF Fiorentina, in response to today’s statement from the Municipality of Florence regarding the Franchi Stadium, clarifies that the Municipality has provided information in recent days regarding the progress of the works and the delays that are already expected by the end of 2026.
The Club can only express discontent and surprise considering the cooperation always shown, such as leaving the stadium free from the end of May to mid-September this year.
Further possible activities for the second part of the works have also been outlined, which at the moment could still involve several months away from the Franchi. Scenarios that can only generate concern and disappointment. In light of the latest information provided, as already communicated to the Municipality, the conditions for any involvement of Fiorentina in the project will need to be re-evaluated.
There is still great regret for not having been able to complete the New Franchi with previous interlocutors, which in 2019, President Commisso wanted to realize at his own expense, only to realize that this was never allowed.
The Franchi Stadium, already a construction site since February 2024, will remain so with all the economic and sporting difficulties that follow, certainly throughout the 2026/27 season, the year of the centenary.
