Torino-Udinese: curiosities and statistics
Torino has won six of the last seven matches (1D) played against Udinese in the second half of Serie A, keeping a clean sheet in each of these victories; as many ‘clean sheets’ as the granata collected in the previous 18 clashes against the friulani in the second part of the season.
After six consecutive Serie A defeats between 2003 and 2008 against Udinese, Torino has lost the same number of matches against the friulani, but in all subsequent 26 games of the top league (14W, 6D): the last defeat dates back to February 6, 2022 (0-2 at the Bluenergy Stadium).
Udinese has not scored in 18 of the 39 Serie A matches played at Torino’s ground, which is 46% of their away games: only against Parma (48%) and Atalanta (49%) have the friulani performed worse in terms of scoring away from home in the top league (min. 15 away matches).
Torino has not lost any of the seven matches (3W, 4D) played at the Olimpico Grande Torino in 2025; the granata team could remain unbeaten in the first eight home games of a calendar year in Serie A for the first time since 2017, under the management of Sinisa Mihajlovic (six draws, two wins in that case).
Torino has conceded only 13 goals in the 15 home games of this season: only Napoli has done better in home games (11 goals conceded). Moreover, since the granata returned to Serie A (from 2012/13), only in 2014/15 (12) and in 2023/24 (eight) have they conceded fewer goals at home at this point of the season.
Udinese has lost all of their last four league matches, with an overall score of 1-8; the friulani could suffer five consecutive defeats in a single Serie A season for the first time since February-April 2018: 11 consecutive defeats in that case, with Massimo Oddo as coach.
Torino has conceded 11 headed goals in this season (second only to Monza with 17); however, only two of these goals have come at home: the last one was in November against Monza. On the other hand, Udinese has scored nine goals with headers (only less than Atalanta with 11 and Inter with 14): one of these was against Torino in the first leg match (Lorenzo Lucca).
Torino moves the ball forward slowly; in fact, the granata have a verticalization speed of 1.55 meters per second: the lowest among the teams in the current league (indicating a poor ability to hit opponents with fast transitions).
After scoring against Hellas Verona, Eljif Elmas could score in two consecutive home matches for the first time in 74 Serie A home games, after doing so between November 2022 and January 2023, the first of these two matches (both with Napoli) was against Udinese.
Lorenzo Lucca is the youngest player (September 2000) to have reached double figures in goals in this season; however, the Udinese striker has not scored in six Serie A matches (last goal in February against Lecce) and has only been goalless once for more matches in the league: nine between January-March 2024.

Milan, Modric: “A big shame, we threw away 2 points”

AC Milan midfielder Luka Modric commented on the bitter 2-2 draw against Pisa in a press conference.

Milan, Modric’s words
MILAN-PISA 2-2
“We expected this match, they came to defend and make our lives difficult. It’s our fault if we didn’t win: we didn’t do enough to win the game. We lost two important points today. These home games, with all due respect to Pisa, you have to win them.”
TIGHT MARKING?
“It’s fair, I have to adapt. We need to play better overall: we did some good things, created many chances but didn’t score. But I have to adapt for the rest.”
APPROACH
“We should have killed the game in the first half. We played well, but only scored one goal. We started the second half sluggishly, then there was the unfortunate penalty and goal. But that’s football, that’s why it’s beautiful: even if you’re stronger and deserve to win, anything can happen. We are sad and angry for losing two valuable points.”

We made mistakes, we need to reflect. However, Pisa played their game

AC Milan waste a great opportunity to consolidate their lead: from 1-0 to 1-2, they need the final minutes to avoid a sensational defeat. The risk of losing the top spot for Milan is now concrete.
It was supposed to be a quiet evening for the Rossoneri, an opportunity to strengthen their first place in the standings and face the midweek round with serenity. Instead, against a brave Pisa, the Rossoneri complicate their lives and have to thank Athekame, the author of the 2-2 in injury time, for avoiding an embarrassing loss.
AC Milan-Pisa 2-2: match analysis
The match started off on the right foot thanks to Leao’s goal after just seven minutes. But Allegri’s team, instead of closing the game, relaxed, showing presumption and lacking ruthlessness in front of goal. In the first half, Milan controlled but did not score, and Pisa stayed in the game.

In the second half, Gilardino played his trump card: Cuadrado’s entry changed everything. The Colombian won and scored the penalty for 1-1, his eighth goal in career against the Rossoneri, then inspired the counterattack that led Nzola to the sensational 2-1. Milan, confused and lacking clarity, tried to react, with Leao hitting the crossbar, Nkunku wasting a possible lead.
Only in injury time did the equalizer come, signed by Athekame, avoiding a heavy defeat but not erasing the bitterness. Perhaps the Rossoneri paid for their lack of respect for the opponent, just as Allegri had warned before the start of the match.
A necessary reality check, because on Tuesday in Bergamo Milan risks not showing up as the league leaders.

Crazy night at San Siro: Pisa almost pulls off the upset, Rossoneri saved in stoppage time
