The second of Torino also wanted to update on the conditions of coach Vanoli, following the incident that happened to him before the penalty equalizer goal by the Granata against Venezia: “The coach is fine, everything is okay. He underwent tests and everything is fine.”

Why this change in performance between the first and second half?
“In the first half, we did poorly. We didn’t play as we had prepared for the game, we didn’t press at the right times. Then in the second half, we changed our playing style by inserting players with more energy.”
Was it an issue of approach?
“I think the approach to the game in the first few minutes was good. However, we were distant from each other afterwards. That’s why we made changes in the second half, to have more order, be more patient, and reach the midfield with the ball at our feet. We managed to be more dangerous.”
How do you prepare for the Inter match?
“It will be a tough game and we start from the desire to play a good game and get three points for our fans. The attitude should be like in the second half.”
Torino, Godinho’s words on Sky Sport
Godinho also spoke to Sky Sport. Here are his words.
“The first half was not what we had prepared for, we weren’t very good at handling the pressure, we arrived late often and they were comfortable. It wasn’t what we expected. In the second half, we wanted to bring more energy, not just change our attitude.”
When Vlasic performs well, Torino performs well.
“Certainly, because we changed our pressure. When we regained possession, we coordinated more with our offensive structure and when we had the ball, Vlasic had more freedom and could make a difference.”
Elmas and Biraghi helped you become much more dangerous.
“Yes, that’s true. They are two top-level players. Elmas helped the team have more quality in one-on-one situations, he really stresses the opponent who he is targeting and is a player who can also score goals. He understands the defensive phase well, is complete, experienced, and has helped a lot. Biraghi not only helped with his footballing qualities but also with his mental attributes, he is always active and helps his teammates stay in the game.”
Are there chances to see the young players in other matches?
“Yes, absolutely, because it is important for us and for Torino to evaluate young players. Dembele has been preparing all year to be available for these matches, he is a player with a lot of energy, understands the game moments very well, and is in very good shape. Perciun has a lot of energy, a desire to do well, and a lot of courage. When the opportunity arises, they help us.”

The Fiorentina has just released a statement regarding the situation at the Franchi stadium. Following the announcement from the Municipality of Florence, the club has issued a response.
New developments on the construction site at the Franchi stadium after the Municipality announced further delays and that the works will not be completed in time for the club’s centenary.
Fiorentina, Franchi Stadium: The Club’s Statement
ACF Fiorentina, in response to today’s statement from the Municipality of Florence regarding the Franchi Stadium, clarifies that the Municipality has provided information in recent days regarding the progress of the works and the delays that are already expected by the end of 2026.
The Club can only express discontent and surprise considering the cooperation always shown, such as leaving the stadium free from the end of May to mid-September this year.
Further possible activities for the second part of the works have also been outlined, which at the moment could still involve several months away from the Franchi. Scenarios that can only generate concern and disappointment. In light of the latest information provided, as already communicated to the Municipality, the conditions for any involvement of Fiorentina in the project will need to be re-evaluated.
There is still great regret for not having been able to complete the New Franchi with previous interlocutors, which in 2019, President Commisso wanted to realize at his own expense, only to realize that this was never allowed.
The Franchi Stadium, already a construction site since February 2024, will remain so with all the economic and sporting difficulties that follow, certainly throughout the 2026/27 season, the year of the centenary.
