Lazio under Baroni prepares for the end of the season, not yet knowing what their fate will be in terms of placement. Does he deserve confirmation?

The Lazio coach entered amidst general uncertainty and Lotito’s choice was heavily criticized by the fans. For Baroni, it was a big step forward.

Lazio, is it right to continue with Baroni? Stability is needed

In the last few seasons, after Simone Inzaghi left, the eagles have experienced many ups and downs with numerous changes in the dugout. Resignations and quarrels led the white and sky blue president to think deeply in order to make the best decision.

The two-year tenure of Sarri produced excellent results, including a return to the Champions League and a 2nd place in Serie A, however, something broke during the 2023/2024 season and the Tuscan coach left the club, being replaced by Igor Tudor who also resigned before the start of the new season.

After a turbulent 7th place finish, there was a need to start over and the primary decision was to select profiles not accustomed to the level of top clubs, leading to the choice of Marco Baroni, fresh from securing safety with Hellas Verona.

The former Lecce coach was able to benefit from a rich and customized transfer market, also with the arrival of Noslin directly from the Verona team. The near-masterpiece achieved in the Europa League should not be underestimated as the white and sky blues were eliminated from the competition in the quarter-finals, on penalties, with only one defeat in the entire tournament.

In the league, however, the performance has been quite fluctuating, but with 3 games left, the situation is still wide open. The goal of qualifying for Europe has been achieved, but the dream remains the Champions League, which is currently only 1 point away (3 teams tied for 4th place). The next match will be crucial in this regard, against Juventus at the Olimpico, to see if Lazio has what it takes to make the definitive leap in quality.

Baroni also has the rise of Rovella, an Italian playmaker who is impressing everyone with his personality in midfield, but he is just one of the many examples of the good work done by the Florentine coach.

The numbers speak for themselves: out of 49 total matches, the record is 27 wins, 11 draws, and 11 losses with an average of 1.88 points per game. His contract will expire in 2026, but this summer will be crucial to understand the direction the management of Lazio will take in the coming years.

The market never sleeps: Alphadjo Cissé, a protagonist of Serie B, attracts Roma’s attention for his future. Here are the details

4 goals in 9 appearances: a statistic that places him just two goals away from the top spot in the Serie B top scorers’ list. But not only that: Alphadjo Cissé is establishing himself in this early phase of the championship as one of the most interesting prospects in the entire second division.

A forward born in 2006, of Italo-Guinean nationality, owned by Hellas Verona, who currently wears the Catanzaro jersey, a club where he is on loan.

On Friday, according to the Gazzetta Regionale, a meeting took place between Roma’s management and the player’s entourage, who reportedly received approval from Gian Piero Gasperini, interested in new names for his offensive department and particularly impressed by the profile of the young forward, a teammate of Pietro Iemmello.

But why would a top club, just after a bad home defeat against the Czechs of Viktoria Plzen, be interested in a player currently playing in Serie B? The answer lies in the relentless pace of the transfer market. Thanks to technology and media, hardly a week goes by without big clubs knocking on the door of the most promising players.

And that’s why Roma, accustomed to moving ahead when it senses the opportunity to acquire emerging talents, would have wanted to understand the intentions of the player himself, perhaps with an eye to a possible transfer in the upcoming season, or even in January, although much more complicated.

Roma would still be in pole position, considering that the player is represented by the same entourage that manages the interests of Pierluigi Gollini and Mario Hermoso, both players already part of the Giallorossi roster.

Suona l’allarma in casa Milan per le condizioni di Fikayo Tomori. Secondo quanto rivelato da Sky Sport, il difensore inglese ha accusato un problema al ginocchio.

Il Milan, reduce dal pareggio contro l’Atalanta nel turno infrasettimanale di Serie A, è apparso stanco e con poche idee. D’altronde le assenze pesanti di Adrien Rabiot e Christian Pulisic si sono fatte sentire nelle ultime uscite, specialmente nella gara di Bergamo. E nelle prossime ore il problema infortuni potrebbe ulteriormente aggravarsi.

Se Allegri potrà contare da domani sul rientro in gruppo di Ardon Jashari e Pervis Estupinan, entrambi arruolabili per la gara contro la Roma, in casa Milan c’è grande apprensione per le condizioni di Fikayo Tomori. Secondo quanto riferito da Sky Sport, il difensore inglese ha accusato un problema al ginocchio destro durante il match contro l’Atalanta.

Sassuolo, the trident fails to sting: Grosso seeks alternatives

Il momento che sta attraversando il Sassuolo non può essere definito negativo, tuttavia esiste un problema del gol che Grosso deve risolvere al più presto.

I neroverdi non vanno a segno dalla trasferta di Verona, il che significa più di 180 minuti senza gonfiare la rete nonostante la presenze in rosa di elementi più che validi per quel compito.

Sassuolo, problemi in attacco: cosa non va?

L’avvio di stagione della squadra di Grosso ha portato luci e ombre, 10 punti frutto di 3 vittorie, 1 pareggio e 4 sconfitte. La fatica più grande finora è stato affrontare le big ma con le piccole il rullino è stato più positivo. Quello che però preoccupa maggiormente i tifosi è la recente difficoltà nell’andare in rete, nonostante il reparto vanti profili di alto calibro in questo senso.

Pinamonti, Berardi, Laurienté, Cheddira, Fadera, Volpato, Pierini – tutti giocatori dalle importanti doti realizzative e che in maglia neroverde hanno già dimostrato il loro valore dal punto di vista offensivo. In primis il veterano n°10, che in questo campionato è andato in rete soltanto 1 volta, così come l’esterno francese lo scorso anno protagonista assoluto con quasi 20 gol e doppia cifra di assist oppure ancora l’ex Genoa che è rimasto anche per mancanza di offerte.

Il digiuno dal gol dura da quasi un mese, tradotto in due partite e mezza, che rischia di trasformarsi in un problema serio se qualcosa là davanti non cambia. La sfida contro il Cagliari è l’occasione perfetta per tornare a segnare e raccogliere punti, contro una squadra che non si può dire certo essere tra le migliori difese.

Il dato sulle reti segnate dal Sassuolo in 8 partite (8 reti totali) si può leggere anche come costanza durante le prime giornate di campionato nonostante le poche situazioni offensive prodotte dal reparto d’attacco. Infatti, la media di conclusioni verso la porta viaggia intorno al 3,4: segnale che serve maggiore concretezza in zona gol.

Tuttavia il dato sulle grandi occasioni a partita sfiora le due unità, a dimostrazione della buona qualità tecnica individuale dei giocatori impiegati in quei ruoli. L’obiettivo di Grosso deve essere quello di aumentare la portata offensiva e recuperare alcuni attaccanti che sembrano aver perduto la via del gol.
