Juventus, after 48 hours at Continassa, the new general manager begins to steer the future of the Bianconeri. The first step concerns the renewals of Gatti and McKennie.

It has been two days since Damien Comolli arrived at Juventus headquarters and the new general manager has already started to make his mark. Coming in quietly, he found the office left by Cristiano Giuntoli full of open questions, but wasted no time: first meetings, first orientations, first decisions.

Clear signals come from the possible appointment of Viktor Bezhani, already at Toulouse, as head of the scouting department, preferred over Matteo Tognozzi, a reference figure in the past for the club. On the coaching front, a positive meeting with Igor Tudor, who remains a concrete option for after the Club World Cup.

Comolli, however, has chosen caution regarding the renewals already well underway by Giuntoli. The negotiations with Gatti and McKennie – both close to completion – have been put on hold. The first has a contract until 2028, the second until 2026, but both are asking for an adjustment as starters. It will be up to the French executive to decide whether to continue or consider possible sales. Based on what has been seen so far, it can be said that the requests of the two players are more than justified…

New developments on the construction site of the Franchi stadium after the Municipality announced that further delays are expected and the works will not be completed in time for the club’s centenary.

ACF Fiorentina, in response to today’s note from the Municipality of Florence regarding the Franchi Stadium, clarifies that the Municipality provided information in recent days regarding the progress of the works and the delays expected by the end of 2026.

The Club can only express dissatisfaction and surprise given the willingness it has always shown, such as leaving the stadium free from the end of May to mid-September of this year.

Further and possible activities for the second part of the works have also been outlined, which could still involve several months away from the Franchi. Scenarios that can only generate concern and disappointment. In light of the latest information provided, as already communicated to the Municipality, the conditions for any involvement of Fiorentina in the project will have to be re-evaluated.

There is still immense regret for not having been able to complete the New Franchi with the previous interlocutors, which President Commisso wanted to finance in 2019 but then had to realize that it was never allowed.

The Franchi Stadium, already a construction site since February 2024, will remain so with all the economic and sporting difficulties that arise, certainly throughout the 2026/27 season, the year of the centenary.
