Emerson Palmieri is leaving West Ham. His profile could become an interesting opportunity for several Italian clubs in search of full-backs.
Emerson Palmieri is ready to say goodbye to West Ham. According to market expert Fabrizio Romano, coach Graham Potter has already informed the Italian-Brazilian full-back that he is not part of his plans for the upcoming season.
Despite a contract expiring in 2026, the former Roma player is now set to leave the Premier League after stints with Chelsea and Hammers. A return to Serie A could be on the horizon for him. Several foreign clubs have also inquired about the situation. After all, Emerson represents a low-cost opportunity for those looking for an experienced and reliable reinforcement on the left flank.

Emerson, who would benefit from him in Serie A?
With his speed, ability to beat opponents, and precision in crosses, Emerson is an extremely versatile player, suitable as a left-back in a back four, as well as a wide midfielder in a four or five-man midfield. His technique and good physicality allow him to adapt to different playing systems and provide attacking and defensive support on the left flank.
There are several potential destinations in Italy: Lazio could offer him a new adventure under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri, who was his coach at Chelsea.
Milan, anticipating the departure of Theo Hernandez, could pair him with a young player to develop slowly in the upcoming season without European competitions, while Roma might consider him if Angelino leaves.
Napoli and Atalanta could evaluate him as an option on the flanks, as well as Juventus, who have pursued him in the past without success.
It is not excluded, however, that the full-back may decide to continue his career abroad or even return to Brazil. The only certainty at the moment is that his future will not be at West Ham.
