Reijnders revealed that the decision to join Manchester City came after the English club contacted his father at the end of the season. Manchester City was looking for a new number 8, and Reijnders did not hesitate to accept the offer. “Milan will always be in my heart,” said the player, recalling his two seasons with the Italian club. “I met some wonderful people, but you have to look at the sporting aspect and I want to achieve some goals in my career, and I think I can do it here in less time.”

“Guardiola is the best coach in the world”
Reijnders then praised his new coach, Pep Guardiola, calling him “the best coach in the world.” The Dutch midfielder expressed his desire to learn new things under Guardiola’s guidance. He also introduced his qualities to Manchester City fans: “I am a box-to-box midfielder who likes to carry the ball and be part of the build-up play, connecting defense and attack, and trying to provide assists and score goals.”
