“Juve Stabia was a means for the Camorra to gain publicity and exercise power. Not only Grattieri, but also Melillo commented on the situation of the club in Castellammare di Stabia: “The aim of the measure is to remove the company from mafia influence, which was particularly evident. The entire service network was subject to clan conditioning due to indifference, underestimation, and connivance. Even the boss D’Alessandro’s father-in-law was previously president of Juve Stabia. Now it is important to support the company, with the commitment of the Prefecture.”
