Koopmeiners’ words
Are you ready to come back, Teun?
“Yes, yes, yes, finally things are getting better. I’ve been out for another three months and clearly I’m not at 100%. In this tournament, I need to improve game by game.”
Do you still not feel ready to play a full match?
“I talked to Tudor, I told him that I still need time to improve my condition but also because it’s important that my Achilles tendon doesn’t bother me anymore. I don’t know how much more time I need, but that’s how it is.”
The further you go in the World Cup, the better it is for you, right?
“Of course, it’s a great opportunity to come back and help my teammates but above all to win a trophy with Juve, which was my goal when I came here.”
You talked about how you are physically, but how is your mood and morale, after such a difficult season?
“Now I’m calmer, but it hasn’t been a very good season, eh, both because we haven’t won anything and because of how I played. I’m not happy, but I also had, what do you call it?”

Bad luck?
“Exactly, bad luck. But I haven’t lost confidence and there’s still a chance to finish on a high note.”
Were you only held back by injuries or also by the weight of expectations?
“I had to do better regardless, that’s true, but it wasn’t an easy season for anyone because we made a lot of changes at all levels: we started with many new players, then the coach and management changed, and that didn’t help our growth. It takes many games to learn what the coach asks of us, so I believe next year will be better and already here in the United States we work every day for that. I lacked continuity but it depended on many small factors, to have it you need a strong team where everyone helps each other.”
Among those factors, is the pressure of being worth what you’re worth also a factor?
“I know, I know, when you’re paid a lot of money, for example 50 or 60 million, and the team isn’t performing, you’re the first to be criticized. I feel this responsibility, I know I have to do better and I can do it: I have the abilities to play for Juventus and I want to prove it.”
Do you feel indebted to Juve?
“Yes, in every training session and every game I want to show what I’m worth. As I said, I just need a little time, since I still don’t feel my tendon at 100%. The important thing is to be at the top for the start of the season.”
How are things going with Tudor?
“I also played with this system at Atalanta. Now I’m a bit further forward, while in Bergamo I was a bit deeper in midfield.”
What do you prefer Tudor to ask you to do in the 3-4-2-1 formation: one of the two central midfielders or one of the two players close to the striker?
“I play where the coach needs me, but certainly in general, I’m a midfielder and not a forward, so even when I’m further forward, and maybe Tudor wants me to stay there, I interpret the role as a midfielder and not as a right or left winger or as a number nine.”

Eintracht Frankfurt-Liverpool, probable line-ups

Eintracht Frankfurt and Liverpool will face off tomorrow night at the Deutsche Bank Park for the 3rd matchday of the Champions League League Phase.
The 3rd matchday of the Champions League sees Eintracht Frankfurt and Liverpool facing each other. A match that promises excitement, especially considering the great offensive capabilities of the home team. Six goals scored and conceded by the team coached by Dino Toppmoller in the first two European games of the season, resulting in two 5-1 results: the home win against Galatasaray, and the defeat suffered against Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano.
On the other side, there are the Reds, who are going through a very negative period. Counting all competitions, Arne Slot’s team is coming off four consecutive defeats, including the one suffered in the Champions League against Galatasaray. A streak for Liverpool that hadn’t happened in 11 years. The lack of contribution from new signings Wirtz and Isak is under scrutiny.
Eintracht Frankfurt
The home team is coming off an away draw against Freiburg in the Bundesliga. Despite facing one of the European football giants, albeit in difficulty, Toppmoller doesn’t seem to want to give up on fielding an ultra-offensive lineup. Frankfurt relies on its talented midfield, composed of Uzun, Doan, and Bahoya. The only absentee is midfielder Oscar Hojlund, brother of Napoli’s forward.
Liverpool
A few more changes are expected in Liverpool’s lineup. Arne Slot is looking for the right solution to get out of the crisis. Against Eintracht, the Reds will have to do without goalkeeper Alisson and Ryan Gravenberch due to a hip problem. Jones is the favorite to replace the Dutchman. Some changes are also expected in defense, with Robertson and Joe Gomez ready to take the place of Kerkez and Konaté. In attack, Slot is ready to relaunch the former player of the match, Hugo Ekitike. The Frenchman is favored over Isak to lead the Reds’ attack.
Probable Lineups
Eintracht Frankfurt (4-2-3-1): Santos; Kristensen, Koch, Theate, Brown; Skhiri, Chaibi; Doan, Uzun, Bahoya; Burkardt. Coach: Toppmoller.
Liverpool (4-2-3-1): Mamardashvili; Bradley, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Jones, Mac Allister; Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Ekitike. Coach: Slot.
Where to Watch
The Champions League match between Eintracht Frankfurt and Liverpool will be broadcast exclusively on Sky Sport and streamed live on NOW starting at 9:00 PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

The third day of the Champions League will also see Atalanta take on Slavia Prague. The match is scheduled to kick off tomorrow at 9 PM.
The Champions League continues with the third day, which will also feature the match between Atalanta and Slavia Prague.
The Nerazzurri team has so far achieved one win and one loss, currently having three points in the standings.
On the other hand, the Czech team has only managed to accumulate one point, placing them thirty-first.
After the heavy defeat at the Parc des Princes, La Dea immediately bounced back, securing a comeback victory against Bruges.
A breath of fresh air for the Orobics, who remain unbeaten in the league and aim for a second consecutive victory in Europe.
Juric is expected to field Lookman up front, with Sulemana likely to support him. Scalvini, on the other hand, will not be available for the match, once again sidelined.
However, keep an eye on Krstovic, who could be the last-minute surprise.
There are few doubts in midfield, where the young Bernasconi is set to start alongside Ederson, De Roon, and Bellanova.
Slavia Prague’s Lineup
It will be the second consecutive Italian away trip for Slavia Prague under Trpisovsky, seeking redemption at Atalanta’s home.
Following the 3-0 defeat at San Siro against Inter, the Czech team is positioned at the bottom of the table with just one point earned against Bodo Glimt.
The match appears to be very challenging, but the Czech team is determined to secure their first victory in this European campaign.
Possible Lineups
Atalanta (3-4-1-2): Carnesecchi; Djimsiti, Hien, Ahanor; Bellanova, de Roon, Ederson, Bernasconi; De Ketelaere; Lookman, Sulemana. Coach: Juric
Slavia Prague (4-5-1): Staněk; Hashioka, Zima, Chaloupek, Vlček; Provod, Sadilek, Zafeiris, Dorley, Douděra; Kušej. Coach: Trpišovsky
