Palermo, close to officializing Elia from Spezia: ready for a three-year contract worth 600,000 euros per season

The Palermo is about to make a big market move, with the arrival of Salvatore Elia from Spezia: the two clubs are now finalizing the details, with a fee of around 1.5 million euros and a three-year contract worth 600,000 euros per season. About 400,000 euros will be deducted from the buy-back of Giuseppe Aurelio, who will remain in Liguria.

But part of the proceeds from the sale of Elia will not remain in the coffers of the Ligurian club, as 50% will go to Atalanta, which, having released the player two seasons ago for free, retained half of any future sale of the player. It should be noted that there were some hitches in the last few days, with Venezia entering the deal, but in the end Elia will go to Sicily, a player strongly desired by Filippo Inzaghi.

Now, Palermo is only waiting for the approval of the City Football Group, which as always must give the go-ahead for the operation, as was also the case for Augello, and then Elia will be able to wear the rosanero shirt again. In the last season, he made a total of 36 appearances, confirming himself as one of the pillars of Luca D’Angelo’s team.

For the rosanero, a welcome return, as he played in 2022/23, with 11 appearances and 3 goals, but now after two seasons in Liguria as a protagonist, he is mature and ready to be one of the key players in the team that the Rosanero executives are assembling to achieve the Serie A goal.
