Recovery Times – Football Style

After celebrating his birthday in grand style (at Frontemare – Top Club in Rimini), in the company of well-known TV and sports personalities like colleague Monica Bertini (as reported by il Resto del Carlino), former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi allowed himself a few hours of leisure in the beautiful city of Jesi (in the Marche region). Alessio Tacchinardi was a special guest last night at the presentation of the book “Capitani da ’90” (masterfully conducted by TVRS Director Andrea Verdolini), a volume written by Marche author Michele Grilli (with a preface by former Genoa player Gennaro Ruotolo). Also present at last night’s event (at Piazza delle Monnighette) were the great Jesi native Luca Marchegiani, the famous Marche-Juventus figure Paolo Paoloni, and former goalkeeper Stefano Tacconi, another prominent figure with Juventus ties. A great success last night in Jesi, the hometown of Roberto Mancini and champions like Elisa Di Francisca and Valentina Vezzali. An engaging and interesting presentation that left a truly tangible mark. A debate full of reflection on the football landscape.
“Was I disappointed by the choice of the now former Inter coach Simone Inzaghi to go to Saudi Arabia like Roberto Mancini had done? No, I think it’s understandable. Simone Inzaghi made the right choice from my perspective,” said former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi in recent interviews with us, met in recent days in Milano Marittima, Emilia Romagna, first during the Vip Master Tennis 2025 event, and then at the Bobo Summer Cup 2025 Cervia – Milano Marittima Charity Dinner 2025.
“Simone Inzaghi has completed a cycle in Milan and I believe he needs to take a mental break from the pressures at Inter. So, it’s right, it’s good to try a new experience, like former National Team coach Roberto Mancini did with the Saudi league. In my opinion, football is growing in Saudi Arabia: not just older players with famous names, but also interesting young talents,” Tacchinardi said in Milano Marittima.
“Hope that good Italian coaches like Simone Inzaghi and Roberto Mancini return to Serie A at some point…” Interview with Alessio Tacchinardi continued in Romagna with a strong hope: “I hope that, sooner or later, good Italian coaches like Roberto Mancini and Simone Inzaghi return to coach in Serie A. The strongest Italian midfielder today, in my opinion, among Tonali, Rovella, and Ricci? I would say former Milan player Sandro Tonali. The Ricci-Milan deal? A midfielder with excellent qualities, in my view, still with room for improvement.”
“Maurizio Sarri at Lazio, Massimiliano Allegri at Milan, and Gasperini at Roma: Alessio Tacchinardi’s thoughts. And on Rafael Leao…” “Massimiliano Allegri at Milan, in my opinion, is a guarantee, Rafael Leao is essential… Lazio for the title with Maurizio Sarri? It’s still early, there are market issues, we know… On Mister Gasperini, I can say that in Rome he will face greater pressure than at Atalanta. But Gasperini is a great coach. I would say there is great curiosity, in general, not so much for the players in Serie A but for the coaches of the various clubs.”
“National Team with Gennaro Ivan Gattuso: Tacchinardi’s comment” “Gennaro Ivan Gattuso? A strong and experienced coach for the National Team, I trust in Gattuso. There is also the great Gigi Buffon behind, let’s not forget… We hope for a restart in the Azzurri perspective, we really need it right now.” It will be a Serie A 2025-26 season to live and enjoy until the last drop. We will see what happens in the coming weeks, under the summer umbrella, in terms of the 2025 transfer market. We will see some really exciting things. The Fiorentina has just released a statement regarding the situation at the Franchi stadium. Following the announcement from the Municipality of Florence, the club has issued a response.
New developments on the construction site at the Franchi stadium after the Municipality announced further delays and that the works will not be completed in time for the club’s centenary.
Fiorentina, Franchi Stadium: The Club’s Statement
ACF Fiorentina, in response to today’s statement from the Municipality of Florence regarding the Franchi Stadium, clarifies that the Municipality has provided information in recent days regarding the progress of the works and the delays that are already expected by the end of 2026.
The Club can only express discontent and surprise considering the cooperation always shown, such as leaving the stadium free from the end of May to mid-September this year.
Further possible activities for the second part of the works have also been outlined, which at the moment could still involve several months away from the Franchi. Scenarios that can only generate concern and disappointment. In light of the latest information provided, as already communicated to the Municipality, the conditions for any involvement of Fiorentina in the project will need to be re-evaluated.
There is still great regret for not having been able to complete the New Franchi with previous interlocutors, which in 2019, President Commisso wanted to realize at his own expense, only to realize that this was never allowed.
The Franchi Stadium, already a construction site since February 2024, will remain so with all the economic and sporting difficulties that follow, certainly throughout the 2026/27 season, the year of the centenary.
