Modena FC has officially announced the arrival of Luca Zanimacchia, a promising talent, from Cremonese. The yellow-blue club has acquired the player on loan with a buyback option, an operation that could turn into an obligation based on specific conditions. This agreement represents an important piece in the team’s strategy to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

The Modena FC announces the temporary acquisition from US Cremonese of the sports services of Luca Zanimacchia, on loan with a buyback and/or obligation option subject to certain conditions. He will wear the number 98 shirt.

Born in Desio in 1998, Zanimacchia is a versatile attacking winger, capable of playing on both flanks and occasionally as an attacking midfielder. A dynamic player skilled in one-on-one situations, he brings experience and great knowledge of the Serie B to the yellow-blue team, where he has already achieved two promotions to the top flight.

His football journey started in Lombardy, taking his first steps with Polisportiva Nova, Aldini, and Varese, before moving to Legnago Salus, where he stood out at 16 years old in Serie D. In the summer of 2016, he joined the youth sector of Genoa, completing his training path up to the Primavera team.

In 2018, he moved to Juventus, where he spent two seasons in Serie C with the U23 team. In the 2019/20 season, he made his Serie A debut and started his first game at the Juventus Stadium against Roma before moving to Spain to join Real Zaragoza in the Segunda División, where he made 28 appearances and scored 2 goals.

Returning to Italy, he signed for Cremonese: in the 2021/22 season, he was a key player in the promotion to Serie A for the grigiorossi with 8 goals and 6 assists. Confirmed for the top flight, after 15 appearances, he moved on loan to Parma, where he played every game, including starting in a playoff semifinal.

In the last two seasons, he has been a pillar of Cremonese’s offensive department. In the 2023/24 campaign, he made 41 appearances, 36 as a starter, narrowly missing out on promotion to Serie A in the playoff final. The second promotion with the grigiorossi came in the previous season, where he played 33 games, scoring 1 goal and providing 4 assists, winning the final against Spezia.
