Milan, Allegri prepares for the challenge against Bologna with several new solutions now that he has almost the entire group available. News also for Leao.
AC Milan is regaining important pieces ahead of the third matchday of Serie A. After the victory in the last round, Max Allegri’s Rossoneri are preparing for the Sunday evening match at San Siro against Vincenzo Italiano’s Bologna (kick-off at 8:45 pm). Today at Milanello, the team gathered in full force, with significant returns from international duty and the infirmary.
Milan, all the returns
The most anticipated news concerns Adrien Rabiot, the latest addition to AC Milan. The French midfielder, after completing physical tests in the morning, had lunch with his new teammates and took part in the first group training session. A presence that, even just psychologically, enriches Allegri’s choices in midfield, where the former Juventus and Marseille player can bring his experience.
Also back in the group is Pervis Estupiñan, who had raised some concerns after missing out with Ecuador against Argentina due to a muscle issue. Tests have ruled out complications, and the full-back will be available for Sunday, ready to guard the left flank.
Smiles also for Christopher Nkunku, finally fit after the physical problems that limited him at the start of the season. The Frenchman does not yet have 90 minutes in his legs, but he is a candidate for an important substitute appearance. Allegri could rely on him to change the game, providing quality and unpredictability between the lines.
A separate note for Rafael Leao. The Portuguese forward is recovering from a calf injury that has kept him out since the beginning of the month. There has been no setback for the Rossoneri’s number 10, but the medical staff does not want to risk aggravating the injury. Therefore, Leao will not be called up against Bologna, with a return planned for the following week against Udinese.
AC Milan, therefore, will face the challenge against the Rossoblu with new faces and quality alternatives, but without their most representative player.

1-1 draw between Cremonese and Udinese, last match of the seventh round. Terracciano’s goal in the first half was answered by Zaniolo’s first goal in the league.
Ending the seventh round of Serie A is Cremonese–Udinese, Monday’s late match. A clash between two teams that have started well in the league but have not found a win in several rounds.
Both coaches focus on quality: Nicola fields Vandeputte and the attacking duo of Bonazzoli-Vardy, with the Englishman making his debut as a starter, while Runjaić responds with Atta and Ekkelenkamp in midfield, Karlstrom in playmaking role, and Zaniolo up front alongside Bayo.

Cremonese-Udinese, first half in grigiorosse colors
The start favors the home team, who unlock the score at the 4th minute with Terracciano’s header from Vandeputte’s free-kick. The goal energizes Cremonese, who dominate the first half thanks to the intensity of Bondo and the creativity of Vandeputte in midfield.
The grigiorossi come close to doubling their lead, first with Zerbin and then with Vandeputte and Bonazzoli, who hits the crossbar at the 31st minute. Udinese, on the other hand, struggles to react and ends the first half in difficulty, saved only by the opponents’ inaccuracies.
Zaniolo answers back and Vardy comes close to the winning goal
In the second half, the game changes. Runjaić’s team comes back with a completely different attitude and immediately finds the equalizer in the 51st minute: Bayo sets up Zanoli on the right, perfect cross and winning header by Zaniolo, scoring his first goal in Udinese colors.
The Friulians gain confidence and force Cremonese to sit back, but in the 60th minute it’s Nicola’s team that comes very close to taking the lead again: Vardy makes a run behind the defense and tries a chip shot, but Okoye doesn’t let it in.
In the final stages, opportunities abound for both sides: Piotrowski and Atta try for Udinese, then Vázquez hits the post with a free-kick in the 79th minute.
In the 91st minute, the last great chance is for the grigiorossi: Sarmiento takes advantage of a glaring mistake by Solet, who has had an off day, and sets up Vardy, who frees himself from a defender in the box and shoots practically assuredly but finds the decisive deflection from Kabasele, tonight the best in the Udinese defense.
The match ends 1-1, a result that satisfies neither of the two teams. Cremonese lament missed opportunities, while Udinese can only take solace in their second-half reaction and Zaniolo’s excellent performance.

Serie A, weekend plagued by goal drought: negative record within reach

The 7th round of Serie A risks being remembered in history for having the lowest number of goals. There is still one match that could prevent this.
Four nil-nil draws and a maximum of three goals in a single match have characterized this round of Serie A. Little spectacle and little effectiveness, only the talents of the moment have shone.
Serie A, the latest negative record and what must happen in Cremonese-Udinese
Only nine goals in nine matches, this is the data that has surprised everyone among fans and insiders regarding the seventh round of Serie A. Four matches without goals and many teams struggling to find a way to score for several weeks.
Abroad, it is said that Serie A is the most boring championship in terms of pure entertainment, and unfortunately, this stereotype has been confirmed this past weekend.
The only hope to avoid setting a negative record and beat those belonging to the days: 9th of the 2010-2011 season, 32nd of the 2017-2018 season, and 2nd of the 2022-23 season with a total of 13 goals, is that the last match on the schedule, namely Cremonese-Udinese, records at least 4 goals to at least equal the previous negative record.

“The story together continues: Daniele Rugani renews his contract with Juventus until June 30, 2028, further binding his future and career to the Bianconeri colors. A shared journey that began in 2012, when just of legal age, Daniele first entered the gates of Vinovo to wear the Juventus jersey, starting his path with the Primavera team. From then on, a constant growth, in a continuous process of maturation that has led him to be the man, the professional, and the player he is today.”
Among the currently rostered players, Rugani is the one who has won the most matches in Serie A (90) and in all competitions (111) with the Juventus jersey. Experience and availability that never wane from a player who has always been able to show up when needed, representing a defensive guarantee and also capable of achieving some satisfaction on the offensive end – scoring 11 goals in his 152 total appearances with Juventus. A story of victories and trophies, but also of the ability to bounce back after going through difficult times. A story that will continue, until 2028, together”.
