Padova-Frosinone 0-1: Bracaglia decides. The yellow and blue team suffer but bring home three valuable points and reach the top of the standings.
Frosinone conquers Padova’s Euganeo with a narrow victory: Bracaglia’s goal in the 37th minute decides the match, which was fought and full of opportunities. The white and blue team fought until the end, but the yellow and blue team held on and reached the top of the standings.
Padova-Frosinone, 1st half
The match starts at a high pace: both teams show aggression from the first minutes. Padova creates a dangerous opportunity with a ball played into the box that bounces around, leading to a powerful shot towards the goal: the Ciociaro goalkeeper’s intervention saves the score at 0-0.
In the 11th minute, the white and blues come close to scoring with Faedo, who tries a great long-range shot from the right: the ball bounces in the six-yard box and almost surprises Palmisani. It’s always the home team dominating the match.
In the 24th minute, Padova creates another excellent opportunity: a quick interchange in the box with Lasagna attempting a shot, but Cittadini‘s intervention is decisive, closing down and deflecting for a corner kick. Palmisani becomes the hero shortly after, blocking Kavin Varasa‘s shot after he shifted the ball to his left foot and attempted a curled shot.
In the 37th minute, the Veneto team is dealt a blow: Frosinone takes the lead with Bracaglia, who finishes a confusing play perfectly. Zilli works a good ball back and his teammate first-time shots with his left foot, finding a perfect connection that ends up in the net. The Ciociari, under pressure for most of the match, go ahead 0-1.
In the 44th minute, Frosinone has a great chance to double their lead: Ghedjemis goes one-on-one with Fortin, but the yellow and blue forward is hypnotized by the white and blue goalkeeper, keeping Padova alive and sending the teams into halftime at 1-0.
Padova-Frosinone, 2nd half
The second half starts with a change in Frosinone: Oyono replaces Cittadini. The pace slows down compared to the first 45 minutes, with both teams more locked down. In the 50th minute, a huge opportunity for the Ciociari: Kindsghmi breaks on the wing and serves Calò, who misses an easy chance to double the lead.
In the 55th minute, another change for the yellow and blue team, with Raimondo replacing Zilli. In the 63rd minute, Padova is dangerous on the edge of the box, but the move fizzles out. A minute later, a double change for the white and blues: Buonaiuto replaces Crisetig and Di Maggio replaces Harder. In the 71st minute, Favale replaces Barreca, while in the 72nd minute, Frosinone responds by bringing in Kvernadze for Koné.
In the 77th minute, another substitution for the home team: Silva comes on for Faedo. The clearest chance of the second half for Padova comes in the 81st minute, from a free-kick on the edge of the box: the ball bounces in the area but ends up with a teammate, and the move results in a goal kick.
In the final stages, Frosinone tries to control possession. In the 90th minute, 5 minutes of stoppage time are signaled, and in the 91st minute, Padova has a chance to equalize: Palmisani intervenes late and the referee awards a penalty. After a VAR check, Di Marco is called to the monitor and revokes the penalty.
Final whistle at 95′: Frosinone conquers the Euganeo 0-1 and reaches the top of the standings.
