“The match against Como in Australia is madness” – Football style

Adrien Rabiot, intercepted by the microphones of “Le Figaro”, spoke about the controversial choice of Serie A to play Milan-Como in Australia, among other topics.
In this situation, Milan has temporarily returned to the top of the standings after a long time. One of the protagonists of this progress is certainly Adrien Rabiot, strongly wanted by Massimiliano Allegri after his experience in Turin with Juventus.
Milan, Adrien Rabiot’s words
The match with Como in Australia
The French midfielder expressed his opinions on various fronts, interviewed by ‘Le Figaro’, starting with the much-discussed match in Serie A:
“I was surprised when I found out that we will play a Serie A match against Como with Milan… in Australia! It’s completely crazy. But it’s all about economic agreements to give visibility to the league, things that go beyond us. There’s a lot of talk about schedules and player health, but all of this seems really absurd. It’s insane to travel so many kilometers for a match between two Italian teams in Australia. We have to adapt, as always.”
Modrić, Juventus, and goodbye to Marseille
The Rossoneri midfield is having a phenomenal thickness, thanks especially to the on-field experience of Luka Modrić, who, despite his age, still manages to enchant ‘San Siro’:
“He has particularly amazed me. To see him train with such precision, professionalism, intensity, and commitment, at 40 years old, is impressive. Truly. He is humble, dedicated, always at 100%. When I see what he does with ten years more than me, I am speechless.”
The interview continues with memories accumulated during his career, between Juventus, Marseille, and now Milan:
“It’s no small thing to have played for these four great clubs. It’s a good business card. When I look at my journey, it’s incredible to have experienced all of this, hard to imagine when I was younger. I’m proud of it. I hope to achieve great things at Milan, to win titles, in a historic and legendary club. I want to leave my mark.”

In conclusion, the class of ’95 dedicates some words regarding his farewell to Marseille, with the desire to disconnect and relaunch himself in a great club:
“I wanted to focus only on football, on my first weeks in this new club and in this new life, it was important. In general, I’m not someone who expresses much off the field, but at that moment it was really time to focus, to start again with my mind fully on football.”

Serie A, weekend plagued by goal drought: negative record within reach

The 7th round of Serie A risks being remembered in history for having the lowest number of goals. There is still one match that could prevent this.
Four nil-nil draws and a maximum of three goals in a single match have characterized this round of Serie A. Little spectacle and little effectiveness, only the talents of the moment have shone.
Serie A, the latest negative record and what must happen in Cremonese-Udinese
Only nine goals in nine matches, this is the data that has surprised everyone among fans and insiders regarding the seventh round of Serie A. Four matches without goals and many teams struggling to find a way to score for several weeks.
Abroad, it is said that Serie A is the most boring championship in terms of pure entertainment, and unfortunately, this stereotype has been confirmed this past weekend.
The only hope to avoid setting a negative record and beat those belonging to the days: 9th of the 2010-2011 season, 32nd of the 2017-2018 season, and 2nd of the 2022-23 season with a total of 13 goals, is that the last match on the schedule, namely Cremonese-Udinese, records at least 4 goals to at least equal the previous negative record.

Juventus has announced the renewal of Daniele Rugani’s contract until 2028. The defender, whose contract was expiring next June, will remain in Turin for two more seasons.
An important renewal has arrived at Juventus. The Bianconeri club has announced the extension of Daniele Rugani’s contract on their official profiles. The defender, who began his football career at Empoli, arrived in Turin in 2012 and has decided to further bind himself to Juve until June 30, 2028. Given playing time by Tudor in the last 2 matches due to Bremer’s injury, Rugani represents a guarantee for the Bianconeri defense. Below is the club’s statement.

“The story together continues: Daniele Rugani renews his contract with Juventus until June 30, 2028, further binding his future and career to the Bianconeri colors. A shared journey that began in 2012, when just of legal age, Daniele first entered the gates of Vinovo to wear the Juventus jersey, starting his path with the Primavera team. From then on, a constant growth, in a continuous process of maturation that has led him to be the man, the professional, and the player he is today.”
Among the currently rostered players, Rugani is the one who has won the most matches in Serie A (90) and in all competitions (111) with the Juventus jersey. Experience and availability that never wane from a player who has always been able to show up when needed, representing a defensive guarantee and also capable of achieving some satisfaction on the offensive end – scoring 11 goals in his 152 total appearances with Juventus. A story of victories and trophies, but also of the ability to bounce back after going through difficult times. A story that will continue, until 2028, together”.

Milan, Leão found: from second striker to pivotal player

Milan, the Portuguese forward scores a brace and suggests that he can express his full potential as a second striker. Allegri has found the key to relaunch him.
Rafael Leão is back, and he did it in the most spectacular way possible: with a brace that led Milan to victory and back to the top of the standings. After a month and a half on the sidelines and some lackluster performances, the Portuguese responded on the field with a display of personality, clarity, and determination.
Against Fiorentina, the Rossoneri striker found the back of the net in Serie A at San Siro after 512 days, as reported by Opta. The first goal was a trademark move, with acceleration, a sharp dribble, and an unstoppable right-footed shot past De Gea. The second, from a penalty, showcases the maturity of the new Leão, who secured the 3 points against Fiorentina with a precise right-footed strike.
Milan, Max’s idea for a new Leão
But the real secret of this revival lies in the change of position. In the first half, Allegri had deployed him as a center forward, a role that restricted him with few movements, many errors, and little impact. In the second half, with Gimenez coming on and Saelemaekers widening the play, Leão returned to move freely between the lines, as a second striker. And there he found himself again.

Free to roam, receive the ball, and take on his marker, the Portuguese has returned to being the game-changer. Allegri knows this well, and in a Milan that wants to stay at the top, Leão can be the ultimate weapon, as long as his creativity is utilized without constraints.
In short, it is clear that Leão performs best a few meters further back, where he can light up the game and inspire his teammates. After difficult weeks, Milan has found its star player again, perhaps at the most challenging time of the season given the absences of Pulisic and Rabiot.
