Juventus, Tudor without a win in eight matches | The numbers

Juventus, Is Tudor on the Verge of Being Sacked? Comolli Evaluates Alternatives

After the third consecutive defeat, the Croatian coach’s bench wobbles. No resignations, but Juventus reflects: Wednesday against Udinese could be decisive…
The defeat against Lazio has worsened an already delicate situation for Igor Tudor. The Croatian coach is now at high risk of being sacked after the third consecutive loss in Serie A and the Champions League, with a Juventus team that appeared dull, lacking ideas, and distant from their coach.
The match at the Olimpico was a snapshot of the moment: defensive errors, lack of reaction, and tension on the bench — emblematic was the quarrel with Cambiaso after a few minutes. Tactical choices, like the initial exclusion of Yildiz and Thuram, did not produce results, and the team surrendered without a fight.

Juventus, who will take over the bench?
Today, at the Continassa, a direct confrontation between management and coach is expected, which could lead to a turning point. Tudor does not intend to resign: “I do not take steps back, only forward,” he declared after the match, but his position is now hanging by a thread.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus has already started evaluations for a possible replacement. Leading the race are Raffaele Palladino and Luciano Spalletti, while the names of Roberto Mancini and Thiago Motta, still under contract, remain in the background. Foreign options are not excluded, linked to contacts with ds Comolli, but time is running out. An immediate shake-up is needed against Udinese on Wednesday.
If Tudor leaves, the bench could be temporarily entrusted to Brambilla.

CT Gennaro Gattuso will attend Sassuolo-Roma, with Cristante and Mancini already in the National team roster, who are the others under observation.
Cristante and Mancini are, up to now, the only Roma players present in the National team roster, who under the guidance of Spalletti and then Gattuso have obtained regular call-ups.
Now, however, something seems to be brewing: today, in fact, watching the match between Sassuolo and Roma will not only be fans and professionals, but also a special guest, namely the CT of the Italian National team, Gennaro Gattuso.
Nothing new, considering that the head coach is progressively visiting the training centers of Serie A teams, with the aim of getting a clearer idea about the players and, perhaps, making changes to the list of call-ups destined to try to secure the presence of the Azzurri at the upcoming World Cup. In this perspective, let’s try to understand who could be the players potentially eligible for the upcoming National team matches: first on Thursday, November 13 against Moldova, and then on Sunday, November 16 for the big match Italy-Norway, scheduled at 8:45 PM at San Siro Stadium in Milan.
Sassuolo-Roma: the special observers
The possible eligibles include three Roma players and only one Sassuolo player.
In order, the first name on the list could be that of Lorenzo Pellegrini, who after finding space in the Giallorossi squad again, after a troubled last season, could now try again to secure the Azzurri jersey.
Another name in view of the upcoming call-ups is Pisilli, who until the last match in the Europa League — that of the defeat against the Czechs of Viktoria Plzeň — had often remained on the bench observing his teammates. A partial change was seen on Thursday night, when just after entering, the young Giallorossi midfielder had temporarily equalized for his team, only to have the goal disallowed for offside.
Last, but still deserving of a mention, is Tommaso Baldanzi, who remained in Rome despite persistent rumors that had him close to joining Hellas Verona. Despite finding less playing time than Pisilli on the field, Baldanzi could still represent an interesting option for the National team, bringing an additional solution to Gattuso’s tactics, not yet present among the CT’s choices.
Finally, we cannot fail to mention Domenico Berardi, who disappeared prematurely from the National team radar after his last call-up in November 2023. Mainly due to the subsequent period, with two seasons spent with a team in significant difficulties and then in Serie B, which inevitably impacted his visibility in the eyes of the CT.

Fiorentina-Bologna ends with a 2-2 draw, as Fiorentina come back with two penalties to equalize against Bologna: but Fiesole doesn’t save anyone.
A comeback from 0-2 was not enough to save Pioli’s team, at the final whistle the Fiorentina fans protested and demanded more from their beloved players, the coach, and the club.
Fiorentina was on the brink of disaster, after Castro’s goal in the first half and Cambiaghi’s goal at the beginning of the second half, at the 66th minute the Rossoblu had found the third goal with Dallinga, which was later disallowed by VAR for a millimeter offside by Orsolini. Bologna with their airy play had strolled over a Fiorentina team unable to create dangerous opportunities.
The disallowed goal gave some fury to Ranieri and his teammates who tried to give their all and threw themselves into the Rossoblu’s area, earning a couple of penalties for handballs by Ferguson and Bernardeschi. The scorers were Gudmundsson at the 73rd minute and Kean at the 93rd minute.
Fiorentina also had a golden chance with Dodò at the 97th minute, but the Brazilian sent the ball wide from a couple of meters away. Perhaps it would have been too much for Pioli’s boys, but it could have been the turning point of the season…
Fiorentina-Bologna: Fiorentina player ratings
Kean comic
DE GEA 5.5 – In the first half, he made a great save on Miranda, but on Castro’s goal he didn’t seem particularly decisive in coming out.
PONGRACIC 5 – At the mercy of the Rossoblu attack throughout the match, he seemed… like a bystander in almost all the goals. Nervous towards the end.
PABLO MARÌ 5 – Castro is a tough opponent and he even provides an unintentional assist for the first goal.
RANIERI 5 – Misses a possible equalizing goal right after Bologna’s lead, then struggles through the rest of the match.
Subbed off at 39’ st PICCOLI – N/A
DODÒ 5.5 – Half a point deducted for not scoring the goal that could have been crucial in this dark moment. His actions led to the penalties for Fiorentina.
MANDRAGORA 5.5 – Shows some signs in attack, but Bologna’s midfield often leaves him running empty.
Subbed on at 7’st NDOUR 6 – Runs from one end of the field to the other, showing heart but little technique.
NICOLUSSI CAVIGLIA 5.5 – Among the three starters, he is the best, despite doing very little. Tries to find some spaces to exploit.
Subbed on at 17’st SABIRI 6 – Pioli, desperate, brings out the Moroccan, who manages to stop Bernardeschi at the edge of the box and launch Fortini, which leads to the foul resulting in Holm’s dismissal.
FAGIOLI 5 – A step back compared to Vienna, today the opposition midfield closes him out and he struggles…
Subbed on at 7’st DZEKO 6 – Adds weight and experience, with his header towards the end that could have resulted in Dodò’s goal.
GOSENS 4.5 – It’s unfortunate because we respect the German: he is unrecognizable, getting everything wrong. Is it just a physical issue or is there more to it?
Subbed on at 7’st FORTINI 6 – Enters the game well, with fresh legs. Provokes Holm’s dismissal.
GUDMUNDSSON 6 – Makes runs, but he’s there. Ice-cold in the goal that reopens the game.
KEAN 7 – The leader. Sometimes tries to do it all by himself, but it seems like preaching in the desert. Takes the responsibility of a crucial penalty and scores it with class.
