The new coach of Juventus Luciano Spalletti spoke in his first press conference as the Bianconeri coach on the eve of the match against Cremonese.
The former coach of the Italian National Team restarts his career as a club coach with the Old Lady. Yesterday the official announcement came, and tomorrow he will already be on the bench for the first time in the away match against Cremonese. Spalletti spoke at the press conference on the eve of the match, accompanied by general manager Comolli.
Juventus Spalletti’s words
His first impressions…
“They are beautiful sensations because we all know the history of this club and we know that there is great expectation, but getting inside is always a beautiful emotion.”
On Sabatini’s words?
“The desire to bring this club back to high levels prevails. I have great respect for Tudor’s work, whom I warmly greet because he is a wonderful person. I am sure to find a well-coached team thanks to Igor’s professionalism. Of course, we need to work significantly to achieve our ambitions. I thank director Comolli for his kind words.”

Who will be in his staff?
“I have brought 4 collaborators because everything is known in the football world and Juventus is well-equipped. Now we just need to build some confidence. With me there will be Domenichini, Martusciello, Russo, and Sinatti. I want to say a few words for Daniele Baldini who decided to end his working relationship, and I was a little surprised. He is a smart guy, and I’m sorry, but I have to accept his will.”
Question for Comolli – Where are we with the Sporting Director?
“The search is still ongoing, and we will give you news when the time comes.”
How much does it motivate you to work with Juventus’ attack?
“This is part of my job. Goals are essential to win games. Offensive football is important, but we must be a team and be a group that understands what to do on the field. Everything is stimulating for me.”
On Vlahovic’s words?
“It seems to me a correct thought, especially that players realize what they are doing. About the joke with Perin? It’s a joke. I know well that we depend a lot on the players because their quality makes the difference. Only things done on the field will then be evaluated for my future. It’s a very simple situation, and now we just have to work, then we will sum up. I had no difficulty in accepting such a contract.”

Can Juventus get back in the Scudetto race? Will you manage Vlahovic?
“I hope to be able to get back in the Scudetto race, why not? Intentions must be at their maximum because we have played 9 games and there are 29 left at the end of the season. I have seen everything in 30 years of profession. I don’t see why I should settle and I will try to get more involved. Then we will evaluate what we have achieved. I have absolute respect for the value of the players. Vlahovic? I will talk to him, and I have had no kind of imposition from the club. Then, considering his last match, his intentions seem clear to me.”
Question for Comolli – Will you do business in January?
“We have discussed this with Luciano. We know we must respect Financial Fair Play. Then, if there are opportunities, we will try to seize them. I am very relaxed and confident about the players we acquired in the summer market. Let’s have this conversation in 18 months.”
“Today I will have the first training session, and it will be very limited. I respect the work done previously, and maybe I could give continuity. I think there are grounds for continuity. Then, of course, there are players who would like to play in different positions, and some players will have to be available. I will also try a 4-defense.”
What opponent do you expect tomorrow?
“I have seen many matches in our league. I watched the last match of Napoli and Inter, which I consider the most equipped. We cannot be presumptuous about anything, and we must not have any slogans. We must leave the noise of the ball sliding on the grass. This is the correct way to talk.”

Inter’s former coach speaks out on Sucic: “He will become a pillar and then go to Real Madrid”

Former coach of Petar Sucic, Sergej Jakirovic, has made some important statements about the midfielder of Inter, who is also his protege.
Sucic is gradually getting used to Italian football, and is showing glimpses of great potential. His goal against Fiorentina is a true gem and confirms a growth process that the young man is going through.
If in Italy we are discovering his talent game after game, in Croatia they are already sure that he is a future champion. Since Sucic arrived at Inter, statements of esteem, trust, and encouragement have always come from his country, and even Sergej Jakirovic, his former coach, has expressed his opinion on him. The coach, bluntly, highlighted the qualities of the young man, predicting his future years.
Inter, the words of Sergej Jakirovic
“Honestly, I expected it, he has a particular work attitude. In fact, I expect Petar to become a pillar of Inter in 1-2 years. And then he will go to Real Madrid just like it happened with Kovacic”.

If Spalletti did his part, what would Vlahovic be willing to do?
The arrival of Luciano Spalletti at Juventus could lead to a series of changes in the team, but, above all, a revaluation of the attackers.
Juventus could step up – with Spalletti’s style – and reevaluate certain players like Dusan Vlahovic, who may consider adjusting his salary in exchange for an upgrade in attack.
Every coach has their own peculiarities and Spalletti has the merit of having done very well with attackers in his coaching career. Of course, there have also been negative aspects, like the rather conflictual relationship with Francesco Totti, but – precisely Totti – was the most performing attacker he had.
Let’s take a look at the names of the strikers who have excelled in the coaching career of the Certaldo-born coach (a town near Florence). We have:
1) Francesco Totti, 100 goals in 190 appearances
2) Aleksandr Kerzhakov, 59 goals in 135 appearances
3) Victor Osimhen, 49 goals in 71 appearances
4) Mauro Icardi, 46 goals in 73 appearances…
With this attitude towards attackers, even Dusan Vlahovic’s role could change.

What could happen for Dusan at Juventus?
The Serbian had not hidden his desire to earn more money; currently, the 25-year-old has a contract of 8 million euros as a base salary and will receive a good bonus of another 4 million euros for loyalty.
If, not too long ago, it seemed that Dusan’s fate was tied to a departure; now, with Spalletti, there could be a reconsideration and he might stay. After all, the Serbian attacker wants to prove that he can continue to perform well and has never hidden his desire to stay at Juventus. However, certain conditions must be met, and among these is certainly the offensive nature of the coach.
Spalletti himself said, at his first press conference as Juventus coach, that: “I will talk with him and I have not received any kind of imposition from the club”.
The Serbian also clearly expressed that the responsibility for how things have gone at Juventus cannot be solely attributed to the coach and called for the goodwill of everyone on the field.
