Lazio, Lotito’s dream: a sponsor for the “new” stadium

Lazio, the Flaminio stadium returns to the fore as a possible future facility for the Biancocelesti: a feasible project with a major sponsor.

In-depth analysis required within two weeks: this is the request made by the Urban Planning Department to address the Flaminio project.

Currently, the plan presented by Roma Nuoto is under review, while Lazio, through its president Claudio Lotito, is working to formalize its own proposal.

According to La Repubblica, the Urban Planning Department has identified several critical issues in the redevelopment project presented by Roma Nuoto. In particular, the problems concern the overall area designated for the project and public parking, currently preventing a favorable conclusion of the Conference of Services.

However, the response from the Municipality does not represent a definitive no. Roma Nuoto now has 15 days to integrate the project and address the highlighted issues. In the meantime, Lotito is called upon to accelerate the timeline and present a final plan by December 5, the indicated deadline, unless informal extensions are granted.

The Lazio stadium project

Lazio has revealed some previews of its project in recent weeks. Preliminary images have been released from Formello illustrating the idea of an elevated ring above the existing structure, along with a designed covering to reduce acoustic impact during major events, not only intended for hosting Biancocelesti matches but also international concerts.

For the future management of the facility, Lotito has already involved Legends, a high-level consulting company that collaborates with entities like Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester City.

A further development emerging today concerns a possible partnership with a major sponsor for the stadium. Rumors suggest contacts with Emirates, already a sponsor of Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium in London.

Statements from Alessandro Onorato

While awaiting the Biancoceleste project, councilor Alessandro Onorato has provided an update on the sports facilities situation in Rome, speaking on Radio TV Serie A with RDS.

“The Roma project in Pietralata is very advanced. Regarding Lazio, we await Lotito to keep his promises. If he does, we will be ready to discuss and find the best solution.

Rome is experiencing a positive change in sports facilities, despite slow regulations and limited public resources. We are working on important projects, such as a new sports hall in Corviale and one in Labaro, to strengthen facilities in the popular neighborhoods,” Onorato stated.

With deadlines fast approaching, the next 15 days are shaping up to be crucial for both Roma Nuoto and Lazio.

Doveva essere una serata di tranquillità per i rossoneri, l’occasione per rafforzare il 1° posto in classifica e affrontare con serenità il turno infrasettimanale. Invece, contro un Pisa coraggioso, i rossoneri si complicano la vita e devono ringraziare Athekame, autore del 2-2 in pieno recupero, per aver evitato una figuraccia.

Milan-Pisa 2-2: l’analisi della partita

Il match si era messo subito in discesa grazie al gol di Leao dopo appena sette minuti. Ma la squadra di Allegri, invece di chiudere la partita, si è adagiata, peccando di presunzione e mancando di cattiveria sotto porta. Nel primo tempo il Milan controlla ma non affonda, e il Pisa resta in partita.

Nella ripresa Gilardino pesca il jolly: l’ingresso di Cuadrado cambia tutto. Il colombiano conquista e realizza il rigore dell’1-1, l’ottavo centro in carriera contro i rossoneri, poi ispira il contropiede che porta Nzola al clamoroso 2-1. Il Milan, confuso e poco lucido, prova a reagire, con Leao che colpisce una traversa, Nkunku spreca il possibile sorpasso.

Solo nei minuti di recupero arriva il pareggio, firmato Athekame, che evita una sconfitta pesante ma non cancella l’amarezza. I rossoneri pagano forse la mancanza di rispetto per l’avversario, proprio come aveva ammonito Allegri prima del fischio d’inizio.

Un bagno d’umiltà necessario, perché martedì a Bergamo il Milan rischia di non presentarsi più da capolista.

The main problem for Cuesta remains the lack of a clear playing identity. The yellow-blue team often appears lacking bite and struggles especially in the offensive phase, where it seems to overly depend on the individual plays of its best players.

The serious injuries of Ondrejka and Frigan have certainly complicated the plans, but the feeling is that more decisive action could have been taken in the summer transfer market, especially after the significant departures of Leoni, Bonny, and Sohm. Now Cuesta finds himself with a squad lacking quality and alternatives, while the management, despite reiterating confidence in their coach, cannot ignore the warning signs.

Another misstep could indeed raise doubts about the future of the Spanish coach, with fans finally asking for a solid performance and some signs from an attack so far too dependent on Pellegrino.

“I don’t see a problem, it means teams are well-prepared and so are the coaches. Abroad, there’s less concern about the opponent and more focus on the development of your own team. But it doesn’t mean that Italian football is declining or lagging behind, it’s a different way of interpreting it.”

Napoli is the team that beat them a year ago: is there a desire for revenge?

“I don’t think they have any chips on their shoulders. After Conte, there was Inzaghi and we won the second star and played two Champions League finals. I don’t think facing Conte is an extra motivation, we are Inter.”

“Diouf and Luis Henrique have played less so far but they have room for growth, I don’t consider them ready yet, but it doesn’t mean I haven’t given them the opportunity. Perhaps with many close games, I had less time to listen to them and explain things, but they have quality, I see it every day and there will come a time when they unlock and we’ll see them on the field more often.”
