Hellas Verona Stadium Project Postponed? All the Hypotheses
Views: 20
Interest in the total renovation of the Bentegodi stadium, with a deadline of March 10th, ended without any results. What will Hellas Verona do?
There was much anticipation among the yellow and blue fans to find out if there was really an intention from the new ownership to renew the stadium for home games. Here is what could happen.
Hellas Verona, private investors are needed for the new stadium
The Verona club is going through a period of profound change with the change in ownership and there is much talk around the desire of Presidio Investors to gift the city a new stadium.
The Municipality of Verona has expressed openness and readiness to listen to all proposals and then evaluate their feasibility, in the interest of the citizens and urban growth. For this reason, the opportunity to present a project to the council by March 10, 2025 was more than enticing to start a bureaucratic process that, with long steps and deadlines, would have allowed the city to compete to be chosen by UEFA as one of the venues for EURO 2032.

However, all is not lost as thanks to the Corrective Public Procurement Decree, which came into effect on December 31, 2024, private economic operators would be allowed to submit complex project financing proposals to the Municipality through a more flexible procedure than before.
Therefore, if Presidio Investors or other private investors were to directly present a project with their own timelines, there would be no need to wait for a new expression of interest but they could present the proposal directly to the Municipality and start the actual process, even obtaining public interest.
At that point, the hypothesis of a temporary stadium (for example in the San Massimo area), where Hellas Verona would play during the renovation of the Bentegodi, would resurface and the bureaucratic process to complete that project would begin.
However, everything depends on the club’s stay in Serie A, as at that point they could expect higher revenues compared to the second division, and above all for a matter of prestige and ambition they could aim for the renovation of their stadium. Otherwise, discussions would be postponed to a later date.

AC Milan waste a great opportunity to consolidate their lead: from 1-0 to 1-2, they need the final minutes to avoid a sensational defeat. The risk of losing the top spot for Milan is now concrete.
It was supposed to be a quiet evening for the Rossoneri, an opportunity to strengthen their first place in the standings and face the midweek round with serenity. Instead, against a brave Pisa, the Rossoneri complicate their lives and have to thank Athekame, the author of the 2-2 in injury time, for avoiding an embarrassing loss.
AC Milan-Pisa 2-2: match analysis
The match started off on the right foot thanks to Leao’s goal after just seven minutes. But Allegri’s team, instead of closing the game, relaxed, showing presumption and lacking ruthlessness in front of goal. In the first half, Milan controlled but did not score, and Pisa stayed in the game.

In the second half, Gilardino played his trump card: Cuadrado’s entry changed everything. The Colombian won and scored the penalty for 1-1, his eighth goal in career against the Rossoneri, then inspired the counterattack that led Nzola to the sensational 2-1. Milan, confused and lacking clarity, tried to react, with Leao hitting the crossbar, Nkunku wasting a possible lead.
Only in injury time did the equalizer come, signed by Athekame, avoiding a heavy defeat but not erasing the bitterness. Perhaps the Rossoneri paid for their lack of respect for the opponent, just as Allegri had warned before the start of the match.
A necessary reality check, because on Tuesday in Bergamo Milan risks not showing up as the league leaders.

Crazy night at San Siro: Pisa almost pulls off the upset, Rossoneri saved in stoppage time

Parma by Carlos Cuesta hosts Como by Fàbregas: a challenge between the two youngest coaches in Serie A, but with very different destinies at the moment.
Tomorrow afternoon, Parma will host Como in a fascinating and internationally flavored match: on one side Carlos Cuesta, on the other Cesc Fàbregas, the two youngest coaches in the league and compatriots. On paper, the projects of the two clubs seem similar: both focus on fresh ideas, ambitious coaches, and squads built on young players to be valued.
But the reality on the field tells a different story. While Como has confirmed the solidity and style seen in the last season, as demonstrated by the splendid victory against Juventus in the last round, Parma seems to be stuck, unable to find continuity and rhythm.

Parma, confidence to regain
The main problem for Cuesta remains the lack of a clear playing identity. The yellow-blue team often appears lacking bite and struggles especially in the offensive phase, where it seems to overly depend on the individual plays of its best players.
The serious injuries of Ondrejka and Frigan have certainly complicated the plans, but the feeling is that more decisive action could have been taken in the summer transfer market, especially after the significant departures of Leoni, Bonny, and Sohm. Now Cuesta finds himself with a squad lacking quality and alternatives, while the management, despite reiterating confidence in their coach, cannot ignore the warning signs.
Another misstep could indeed raise doubts about the future of the Spanish coach, with fans finally asking for a solid performance and some signs from an attack so far too dependent on Pellegrino.
