A massive unprecedented blackout of unknown causes has struck Spain, parts of Portugal, and southern France today.
A major power outage, likely due to a hacker attack, has affected all of Spain, leading to the cancellation of all matches in the Madrid Master 1000. Despite this serious issue, the Champions League semifinal between Inter and Barcelona scheduled for Wednesday night at 9pm is expected to proceed without problems.

Spanish Blackout
The blackout has affected the major Iberian cities. However, it is expected to be fixed by Tuesday, the 29th. In time to ensure that both teams can train regularly and fans can arrive at the stadium as planned.
Currently, millions of people in Spain, Portugal, Andorra, and southern France are without electricity. The main disruptions are being felt in Madrid, Lisbon, and Barcelona. Numerous incidents have been reported in these three cities due to the sudden power outage.
At the moment, no one can guarantee the smooth running of the match. However, reassurances have been given from Spain that normality should be restored within the next 6 to 10 hours.
Trouble in Barcelona
In Barcelona in particular, serious disruptions have been reported. Several people were trapped in a metro tunnel for almost an hour in difficult conditions before being evacuated. Many businesses had to close, the railway network was completely blocked, and major stations were evacuated.
The same repercussions were felt at the airports.
Football Continues
Focusing solely on football, Hansi Flick’s team trained regularly at the azulgrana sports center thanks to emergency generators. Thanks to these, Barcelona was able to continue all activities without interruptions.
The national electricity service has confirmed that restoration will begin in the northern areas and then move southwards, also involving Catalonia.
Everything should be back to normal in time for the arrival of Inter and their fans, who have already booked flights and hotels.

Roma, a team with a dual identity: struggles in Europe
Views: 6
AS Roma started their journey in the Europa League rather negatively, with 2 defeats in the first 3 games. However, their performance in the league is quite different.
The home defeat against Viktoria Plzen left a bitter taste, along with some perplexity. Gasperini’s team has struggled to get going in the Europa League and has lost both home games so far. There have been too many defensive mistakes, which once again have cost the Giallorossi dearly.
Against Lille, it was Tsimikas who made a naive error that led to the French goal, while in yesterday’s game, it was young Ziolkowski who made the mistake and was substituted by Gasperini after just half an hour. While the defense seems to be the strong point of this team in the league, they are making too many mistakes and lack precision in the Europa League.
Roma, a sterile attack

Another rather evident problem, highlighted by the coach in the post-match interview, is the sterility of the attack. Apart from the Argentine Soulé, who has scored 3 goals in the league, the rest of the attack is struggling to perform.
Dovbyk and Ferguson seem out of place: two physically heavy players, rather clumsy with the ball at their feet, who are struggling to find the back of the net. The Ukrainian was booed off the Olimpico pitch yesterday, and every touch of the ball by the Irishman was met with loud grumbling from the entire stadium.
Dybala scored his first goal of the season from a penalty, but more is expected from him. Finally, Bailey is proving to be in form and able to make an impact, having come on in the last two games and igniting the Olimpico with his plays.
Gasperini must find a solution and hope to mentally recover his two strikers, who currently seem demoralized and disconnected from the team.
