Ademola Lookman wants Inter and Inter would like Ademola, but Atalanta is in the middle and now, perhaps, another club is complicating an already difficult story.

If this eternal story between Inter and Atalanta for Ademola Lookman were to materialize, it would be one for the history books, stories to be told by the fireside on a winter night.

Because a relationship long concluded between the Bergamese and the English (naturalized Nigerian) striker seems to be one of those epic tales worthy of the finest storytellers. Just think about when it all started: it’s been several months now since Gasperini (then coach of La Dea) said that Lookman doesn’t know how to take penalties.

A few words that mark a before and after; a rupture between coach and player, and since then Ademola (born in 1997 with a great sense of goal) decides that his adventure in black and blue is over. Then, in reality, fate’s irony, who starts knocking on his door? It’s the other black and blue team, the one from Milan, the one with the Biscione, Internazionale. And then everything changes.

Ademola thinks about it for a bit but not too much, and it’s clear that, for him, making this leap would be perfect, but things start to get complicated.

At this point, Atalanta realizes they can pull off a coup because Ademola may not know how to take penalties, but he is a player who scores a lot.

Atalanta, Inter

Inter and Lookman, but what would the story be without the numbers?

After all, he has scored 15 goals this season, playing at consistently high levels. So Atalanta asks for 50 million euros, but Inter wants to try to lower the figure.

From that moment comes the counterproposal of 40 million euros, but Atalanta says “no thanks,” and the wheel starts turning again while Ademola’s mood becomes more restless. The player no longer wants to stay and now imagines himself already looking for a home in Milan.

In this deadlock, it seems that Inter has thought about relaunching, increasing the offer: the stakes would rise to 42-43 million euros plus some bonuses to be added, reaching 45 million in total.

Yet now it seems that the battle may see the entry of another club: that Atletico Madrid of Simeone, who, after selling Samuel Lino, desires Lookman. Who knows if Cholo will be able to put an end to this (almost) infinite story!
