“Sarri’s Lazio could surprise us pleasantly if…”. This is the enthusiastic Giuseppe Cruciani we met recently at Shada Beach Food Club in Civitanova Marche (Macerata) during the presentation of the book ‘Hypocrites’. A beautiful and interesting cultural event organized by Filosofarte 2025, the Festival of Free Thought conceived by the Councilor of Civitanova Marche, Gianluca Crocetti. Renowned journalist and radio host Giuseppe Cruciani (‘La Zanzara’) presented his book in a passionate and thought-provoking meeting, always with a provocative, ironic, and sharp tone. The cultural event, with the patronage of the Municipality of Civitanova Marche and Fondazione Marche Cultura, was hosted by Gianluca Crocetti, moderated by Andrea Agostini, president of the Foundation.

In the charming setting of Shada (an elegant location on the Civitanova seafront), among the guests were Francesco Acquaroli (President of the Marche Region), MEP Carlo Ciccioli, Fabrizio Ciarapica (Mayor of Civitanova Marche), Regional Councilor Pierpaolo Borroni, Gianluigi Tombolini (Mayor of Numana), and Antonio Sasa. The latter is a Master, Knight of Labor, and head of the cellar “Il Palagio” owned by Trudie & Sting. A great evening full of audience and emotions for the meeting with Giuseppe Cruciani. Councilor Crocetti repeatedly expressed his gratitude to everyone for the warm participation. Let’s now discover what Giuseppe Cruciani exclusively told us, with a particular focus on his beloved Lazio. Interview by journalist Daniele Bartocci.

“LAZIO STARTS WITH MARKET HANDICAP BUT CAN PROVIDE SOME POSITIVE SURPRISES IF COMPACT”: GIUSEPPE CRUCIANI SPEAKS

“Regarding Serie A 2025/26, I would say that Lazio starts with the handicap of an incomplete market. However, paradoxically, if the team consolidates, it can provide some positive surprises in my opinion. I honestly don’t understand all this skepticism. I mean, I understand it, but we need to stay united and support the team all the way through the season.” This is Cruciani’s thought on Maurizio Sarri‘s Lazio 2025/26.

“ALWAYS FORZA LAZIO. AM I A FAN OF CLAUDIO LOTITO AND MISTER MAURIZIO SARRI? I’M NOT A FAN OF ANYONE, I’M FOR STABILITY AND I SAY IF STABILITY IS LOTITO…”: GIUSEPPE CRUCIANI’S BATTLE CRY IN SHADA CIVITANOVA

“You ask me if I’m a fan of Lotito and Sarri? I tell you, I’m not a fan of Claudio Lotito. I’m not a fan of anyone, I repeat. I’m for stability. For now, stability is Claudio Lotito. If tomorrow there will be someone else, stability will be someone else…” Giuseppe, is Mister Maurizio Sarri ‘The Commander’ the right man on the sidelines for Lazio? I don’t know…” was Cruciani’s quick response, in his usual style. Finally, a quip about Gian Piero Gasperini at Roma. In your opinion, Giuseppe, will it be harder for Gasperini to do in Rome, a very demanding place, what he did in Bergamo? “I don’t know. Honestly, I don’t talk about Roma…” Great bond and loyalty to the biancocelesti colors for Cruciani…

We had also met the well-known journalist and radio host ‘La Zanzara’ in the past months, in the vicinity of the last Christmas period, always in Civitanova, Marche. Here is what he had told us exclusively on our microphones.

CRUCIANI: “NUNO TAVARES GREAT FOOTBALLER. MISTER JOSE MOURINHO IN THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY? I DON’T MISS HIM AT ALL…”

You, a VIP Lazio fan… do you think Nuno Taveres could be considered the signing of the year in Serie A (2024/25, ed)? “Perhaps, yes. Nuno Tavares represents, in my opinion, a great player and I would say he is doing very well, showing excellent qualities.” Many have criticized owner Claudio Lotito in recent years. Is he, in your opinion, the true architect of this good moment for Lazio? “The real architect? I don’t know. But I’m a fan of Claudio Lotito and the claim is always the same: always Forza Lazio, long live the biancocelesti colors.”

You ironically supported in the past that journalist and TV host Emilio Fede switched from being a Juventus fan to being an AC Milan fan solely and exclusively for a matter of ‘money’… “I said that money had its part in that sense”.

So, another joke, we ask you: if Roma offered you money to become a supporter, would you accept the ‘enticing’ Giallorossi proposal? “Are you crazy? How could you even think about it? Come on, always maximum Lazio faith. Never and ever with Roma. Lazio forever…” So you would never ever abandon the Lazio faith? “Are you so crazy? Never and ever, I will always repeat it…”

“JOSE MOURINHO AND ROBERTO MANCINI IN ITALY I DON’T MISS THEM…”: CRUCIANI IRONIC AND SHARP AS ALWAYS

Staying in Rome, do you miss José Mourinho ‘Special One’ in Italy, in Serie A? “No, absolutely not. I don’t miss Mou at all”. And instead, would you see Roberto Mancini well in Serie A? Would you like to see him, maybe in the near future, on the bench of Roma or other prestigious clubs? “Do I miss Mancini in Serie A? I would say no. Like José Mourinho, I have no nostalgia for Roberto Mancini in Italy. In the sense that at this precise moment, I would say I don’t miss anyone, especially in our Serie A.” These are some statements made by Cruciani exclusively to our microphones last December. On that occasion, Cruciani spoke at the Council Chamber (Comune Civitanova) about his book ‘Via Crux. Against Political Correctness’ which has certainly received considerable appreciation.
