Il Tottenham é scatenato in questa finestra di calciomercato. Dopo gli arrivi di Robertson, Senesi, Van Hecke e Dubravka, ecco un altro colpo di mercato per una cifra record. Secondo i giornalisti Fabrizio Romano e David Ornstein, e il tabloid inglese The Athletic, il Tottenham ha battuto la concorrenza del Man Utd per prendere Mateus Fernandes del West Ham.
Il centrocampista portoghese si unisce alla squadra di De Zerbi per una cifra record. 85 milioni di sterline (98 milioni di euro), diventando così l’acquisto più costoso nella storia degli Spurs, superando Xavi Simons. Per il West Ham, invece, la cessione di Mateus Fernandes é la seconda più costosa nella storia del club. Al primo posto c’é la cessione di Declan Rice all’Arsenal nel 2023 per 116 milioni di euro.
