After yesterday’s draw with Catanzaro, Sottil’s bench is at risk: among the names circulating for Sampdoria, Lillo Foti also emerges.

Yesterday afternoon’s draw with Catanzaro at Marassi is shaking Andrea Sottil‘s bench. The management of Sampdoria is already considering possible replacements, including Pierpaolo Bisoli, but also Andrea Pirlo and lastly Lillo Foti, assistant to Mourinho at Fenerbahce.

But this morning, other possible successors of the current Samp coach were mentioned: like Andrea Pirlo but especially Salvatore “Lillo” Foti, currently assistant to Josè Mourinho at Fenerbahce, but also a historic assistant to Marco Giampaolo.

What makes sports director Pietro Accardi and president Matteo Manfredi reflect are the results and the game, which are not exactly exciting. And so they are considering a possible replacement of Sottil.

Andrea Pirlo would be a more feasible option, as he is still under contract with the blue and white club after being sacked at the beginning of the season, but he is now being targeted by Venezia, who could dismiss Eusebio Di Francesco.

Lillo Foti’s name, on the other hand, is very intriguing. However, at the moment, an immediate replacement of Andrea Sottil is not planned, as the match against Sassuolo will be decisive, and of course, very challenging.
